It's a messed up situation, so messed up.    The only thing he should have put in the letter is the public apology and his plea to have a part in his son's life.     I don't know what the rest really accomplished.     I don't blame the grandmother for doing what she has to do to take care of the child, even IF there was some lies or whatever.      But if we don't believe, after serving his time, that he should have a chance to be part of society and all that, then why even have jail?    He IS right that the grandmother won't live forever, and if he's truly prepared to dedicate his life to taking care of the child, he should have the chance, obviously under watchful eye at first.

I don't know, he killed Cherica to kill the child he now wants in his life. It's a weird situation that I don't have to give forgiveness for.

I believe in forgivness

I read some of the letter to Cherica’s mother, but had to stop. Painting himself as a victim in this saga was not a good way to endear himself to anyone. If he were truly sorry, he’d show just that; instead, he just dug a deeper hole for himself, at least in my eyes. Narcissism and anger disguised as self-pity is a bad look, and one that won’t garner my support. Good luck Rae, but I don’t imagine your letter of false redemption will play well with anyone involved, and certainly not me.

As someone who actually knew Cherica and wanted the WORST for Carruth, I have to forgive him for Chancellor. I ran into him and his grandma whom I would see time to time back in the day and the light that comes from this child and his energy is amazing. I've grieved over the death of my friend for a long time but he needs that boy and that boy needs him.

He still deserves a kick in the nuts though.

    • I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws.  He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general.    That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field.  Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver.   That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.
    • My biggest issue with keeping Darnold, which I felt we should have done, is we would still have Fitterer. And everything that came with that.  I think Morgan is going to be good.  Baker, just did not play well at all here. Not sure what else we were supposed to take away from it at the time.  That’s my short ‘I don’t want to argue about it’ take.
    • Even if we somehow make the playoffs we will be one and done so fast. Seattle, Rams, TB, Panthers, Detroit and Philly are all better than us.
