Voth: Time to draft a mid-round QB

I'd say it is a certainty. A said weeks ago using one of the thurd rounders on a QB is likely.

I hope not.  We already have a project (though admittedly not a third round talent, not that that fact matters).

I would rather draft a guy with higher upside.  Now of course is said third rounder has the upside of a Dak Prescott, then that's different. That doesn't usually happen though.

I'd almost rather wait and try to get a backup in FA.  Bridgewater would be great if cheap enough.

Why not just pick one up in FA?

Using a draft pick on a QB after watching receivers drop passes left and right on the road in the playoffs is a little absurd.

the ones in free agency will cost alot more and we dont have that much cap room

Cam says, "Hello!"

and before anyone says "well we had the #1 pick" . Theres been plenty of top 5 QB busts , or otherwise first round QB busts and especially in Cams draft. Besides Cam and Andy Dalton , there were a ton of busts (Gabbert, Locker, Ponder among others).

Now you know that was all Ron.  Go back and watch his presser after the draft.  Ron did all the research and it was his choice to which QB he was going to tie his head coaching career to.

Nice try though.

Ron can't do anything---make that decision without the full support of the GM.  But you know that.
