Having one hand makes a big difference in the pros. Can't wrap up. You don't need to in college but in the pros wrapping up is essential for a LB. I'd consider him at some point, yes, but his limitations are real. Hope I'm proved wrong as it's an amazing story of how far he's gotten so far but I don't expect him to be great in the pros. If he can carve out a long term ST leader role like a Matthew Slater for the Pats I'd consider that to be very impressive.

If you watched him at UCF, he was one of their most dominant defenders and clearly made the tackles he’s supposed to make.

That being said, he’ll still have his limitations at the next level and could honestly be the next Ben Boulware, but he certainly has potential.

Ben Boulware is a terrible comparison. Boulware’s knock was always his limited athletic ability. If Boulware had even half of Shaquems physical ability he would be a decent pro.

I think you didn't watch him completely rape and pillage the Auburn offense.

UCF dominated that national championship game and Shaq Griffin was a big part of it. Defensive MVP for the bowl and DPOY for his conference.

not by an athletic standpoint. i just mean the hype standpoint.

shaquem is on a whole different tier than him and I personally believe he should be really successful.

Was Boulware actually hyped? I thought pretty much everyone expected him to be a late round pick at best and probably UDFA? Boulware was like former WFU LB Jon Abbate. Fantastic college players who simply didn't have NFL caliber physical talent.

well I mean in the first place Shaquem nearly didn't even get an invite to the Combine and originally was considered a late round pick at best. which is why i compared him to Boulware from that standpoint.
