Greg Olsen Retiring for Broadcasting Job?

"If Olsen retires from the NFL, it would save the team $6.75 million in cap space but would devastating for Carolina’s offense and leave a huge hole at tight end. This news may help explain why the team has been meeting with several free agents at the position lately, including Eric Ebron and Luke Willson."

If I was his agent, I'd probably encourage him to take the job if they offered it. I'd hate to see him go, but he should take the opportunity if it's there.

Yup bc in the long run he would make more money in that gig.........I feel for Cam but a once in a lifetime gig that would have him set plus without the wear and tear to his body.

Oh please. Olsen’s got one more year in him at least. He wouldn’t do that to Cam. Not when we’re gearing up to have one of the most complete rosters in the RR era.

To be fair, while I'm sure Greg is a good locker room guy, he should make his business decisions based on what's best for him and his his family and not his teammates.

One of the most complete rosters?

Not sure I’m buying that yet.  Our O roster isn’t one of Ron’s better ones at the moment IMO
