Panthers showing heavy interest in small school CB

Unable to participate in the Georgia State pro-day the day after the combine due to a minor hamstring injury, Chandon Sullivan took the field today for ten teams.

The Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs were just a few of the teams on hand today.

Sullivan, who still has some tightness in his hamstring, ran the forty in times which ranged from 4.48s to 4.51s.  That’s a marked improvement from his combine time of 4.60s.  He timed 7s in the 3 cone, touched 40 inches in the vertical jump (40.5 inches at the combine) and reached 11-feet-2-inches in the broad jump, tying his mark from Indianapolis.

Sullivan was then put through positional drills by the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles.  The senior entered the season without being graded by NFL scouts but now stands as a solid last day pick.  He’s drawing heavy interest from the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Rams.

Draft Projection

Round 7/PFA

Bottom Line

Sullivan has decent size and has been a consistent contributor since his freshman season, but his average instincts and inability to stay in phase prevents him from making more plays on the ball. Sullivan isn't overly fast or physical and may need to play well at the Senior Bowl to help him prove he's an NFL-caliber talent.

"Stands as a solid last day pick". What are the odds of last day picks becoming all-pro or at least starters? Very small, that should say enough for this thread.  I'm rooting for him and hope he does well.

    • You bring up a good point on the stability part and i would agree that probably will factor into it. But yes, Tepper does have a strong influence on who stays/goes but I still believe ultimately it'is Morgan, Tilis and Canales who will decide.
    • I can always count on yout to put things so delicately lol. I'm still not sold on the fact that Tepper will make them keep him if they don't see him as a long term answer.
    • holy poo... this thread inspired me to keep trying to guess passwords to various alts I've created over the years and I finally got in! I pretty much accepted my fate as a lurker for the last several months because I could not remember my password. I didn't realize that new users couldn't join either, that explains things. I have been around for years under several different monikers, through the good and bad. I too always find myself coming back here even with all of the new social media options for Panther fan engagement. It's simply nostalgic.   I do get extremely annoyed with the same 5-10 posters shitting on Bryce and complaining about everything. It's unfortunate that half of them are mods and that nobody new can join because now I pretty much just come on here and see Bryce / Panther slander. There is barely any positivity to be had. We all watch this team and hang on this forum for entertainment purposes only. We have no control or say in anything. I used to be such a crazy ass fan that would argue with strangers about Cam newton on the internet and at games. Now, as a father of 3, a business owner and someone with way gnarlier life problems - I like to watch football and talk about football as an escape. Not to bitch more. I really like the direction of the team and will root anyone in a Panthers jersey. I live down the street from the Rams practice facility, Matthew Stafford is currently coaching his daughters flag football team in the same program I coach my sons. I have two highly ranked Rams staff members sons on my team. The way we beat them and had them on the ropes in the playoffs has me feeling amazing, and you would think we have the next great thing in Bryce with the way they all speak of him. I'm gonna ride that high and be a delusional fan, I hope that huddle can stick around or get fixed and perhaps I will get back to posting more now that I can log in again. I will do my best to not get banned. Keep Pounding!
