how many WRs are we gonna get?

Funch is staying, Wright is staying, Samuel is staying (though apparently we're not acting very confident about his usage this season).

Everyone else can be cut. Though, I gotta think Torrey Smith sticks around.

What is this saying about our squad?

Funch/Hurns/Wright

Funch/Smith/Wright

Funch/Smith/Hurns

Hurns/Funch/Wright

Funch/Hurns/Samuel

Funch/Smith/Samuel

Funch/Samuel/Smith

Funch/Hurns/Samuel

I'm not sure I'm getting it. Though, adding Hurns could be good. We've been needing to make real moves at WR for a while and this is a real overhaul-- Smith and Wright aren't WR1s, but they're legit WRs who have roles, as opposed to people like Clay or Shepherd. I feel like we're gonna see a strangely quality WR core at the end of this transformation, though right now the amount of WRs we're working with feels frustrating.

I was going to ask the same thing. I do not know much about Hurns, is he a vertical threat like Torrey? If he’s not, maybe they keep both?

He ran like a 4.55 or something if I recall correctly. Def not a burner.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
