Video could get Bucs Vernon Hargreaves in trouble

Quote

Bucs cornerback Vernon Hargreaves, already working to bounce back from struggles on the field last season, now may have off-field issues to deal with as well, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

A short video posted on Instagram this week appears to show Hargreaves smoking a cigarette of unknown substance.

Perhaps he saw Beckham's video and thought "Hey, great idea.  I can do that too."

In reality, Hargreaves himself apparently didn't post the video.  It was posted by a fake account that has since been taken down.  It is, however, said to be Hargreaves in the video.

The NFL just needs to drop marijuana has a banned substance already and be done with it. Who cares?

This is a organization that considers creatine and water pills as PEDs. Not likely MJ ever makes it off the list.

PEDs are one thing. I don't think anyone considers marijuana to be a PED.

I don't think creatine is banned by the NFL. Diuretics (water pills) aren't banned so much for themselves, they're banned because they're commonly used to mask steroids.

I think the NFL is correct in banning MJ, it is still a federal law. Like it or not.

Okay but let's not even pretend that's why the NFL pretends to care about marijuana being illegal. You don't hear this poo in any other leauge but the NFL.

It's all about PR.

Not nearly on the same level.. at alll...  but..

I guess slave owners were correct since it waa a law. Discrimination was also protected under law. Guess buisness owners and schools were correct for banning blacks.

Its bullshit.

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
