This is legit , my good friend is an actual scout .  He has not old me anything crazy but we were discussing the draft and heres some info he has told me.

we will be drafting a center or guard early in the draft, most likely 3rd round . hurney is high on a lot of defensive tackles and theres a huge possibility we are drafting a dt . for wr and running back its going to be a 2nd round or a 4/5 rounder depending on the way the draft goes . he said its either a early wr or early wr but not both a early rb and early wr thats unlikely  . Names he discussed are center james daniels and Da'Ron Payne dt , also jaire alexander and justin reid are up as our top defensive backs. he said their has been talk of cortland sutton being a day 2 /3 player and he is most likely to drop . christian kirk is our # 1 ramked wr . take what you want from it.

If we draft a DT in the first three rounds... good lord. It better mean that Butler got traded leading up or during the draft.

Honestly, it wouldn’t shock me if the GM who ran the Panthers during Smitty’s prime has Kirk as his top WR. There’s some favorable similarities there but Kirk doesn’t have Smitty’s long speed.

An interior OL in the first three rounds seems like a good idea.

A DB early also sounds like a good idea.

I really don’t see us drafting a DT in the first 4 rounds. If we didn’t sign Poe sure but we’ve got two top starters there, first round pick for depth and Love is a top backup DT in this league too. There really isn’t any chance we take a DT early. KK, Poe and Butler are locked up for 3 more years together.

I don’t see much Smitty in Kirk at all to be honest.

With WR and RB the pick will be a 2nd round or a 4/5 rounder depending on the way the draft goes .

Names he discussed that Hurney likes are C James Daniels, DT Da'Ron Payne , CB Jaire Alexander, and S Justin Reid. • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
