Who is the biggest Panthers bust of the last five drafts?

I'm gonna get scientific. Bust = highest draft position x ability demonstrated x chances they've had to demonstrate ability / Injury.

Using this formula our biggest draft bust since 2012 is ...... Kony Ealy.

Closely followed by Amini Silatolu and Daryl Worley.

Don't @ me.

Silatolu was 6 drafts ago. The Ealy mention is one I hadn't thought of.

I keep being drawn to Butler even though I don't believe he can't become a more useful piece. But we had to pickup a free agent DT instead of using our first round selection

Ealy is still in the league and graded out as average last year for the Jets, becoming a key piece in their rotation.  He didn’t pan out for us, but I wouldn’t say he’s a bust since his pro career is still ongoing.  Kugbila fits the bust description much better.

Were only going back to 2012?

A few more

Everrette Brown- traded away the next seasons 1st round pick.  Brown was with the team for only 2 seasons.  And only started 3 games.  Was on and off a couple other teams before being out of the league 3 seaons later

Armanti Edwards- traded away what was the #33 pick in the 2011 draft.  Edwards had 0 starts in his 4 seasons here and had a career 5 catches for 121 yards

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
