I don’t know that we do anything at S. I see us going with Gaulden, Adams, Scearcy, and Jones.

 

If we add someone via FA or cuts more likely it will be Fozzy Whitaker’s replacement at RB. Having CAP and Samuel means Fozzy isn’t needed.

This would be a disaster IMO. 

Adams is serviceable but each year longer in the league, he becomes more of a liability and needs a partner to cover his flaws.

Searcy is a 7 year younger Adams....same issue. Good guy if he has a better compliment beside him.

Jones is a ST player and maybe an occasional sub-package DB....he scares me when I see him on the field.

Gaulden is a late third-round rookie that is seen equally as much as a corner as a safety. I do think he will be a good safety in time, but not in year one. 

Bottom line is we need to get Eric Reid, Kenny Vaccarro, Tre Boston or kick the tires in Seattle on Earl Thomas trade. It would probably cost us a 2nd next year, but to add one of the league's best safeties to a promising Gaulden and young CBs like Bradberry, Jackson, Cockrell, Elder and Seymour is the kind of move that SB contending teams make. Doubt he actually gets traded, and I wouldn't want to give up a 2nd round pick, but man.....Earl roaming our secondary with Luke handling the guys up front would be a beautiful thing.

I do agree adding a RB is equally as important, so an Orleans Darkwa, CJ Anderson, Morris or even West signing makes a ton of sense. 

Bottom line is that we are def not done yet. I think Marty lands a SAF and a RB and roles the dice on Moton being the answer at LG, with maybe Larsen and Sriles getting the next crack in camp.

      He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.

      This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.

      I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
