Hes a good pass blocking RB. That doesn't mean he's a run blocking FB.

Peterson was the main reason Norv's offense didn't work in MN. he can only run when the QB is under center.

I suspect Norv is gonna put Cam under center way more than Shula did.

That said, I'm still not really in favor of signing Peterson.

For as little as RBs command in free agency FBs command a significant amount less.  The position is almost non existent on majority of NFL rosters.  No way CJ Anderson, a sub 30 player at the top of his game, agreed to play here on a one year deal if that was even remotely a consideration.  He will resemble a bell cow for us, and I predict he will do well in our system.

He became the poster adult for child abuse, and it was not unfair.  If you are not going to sign a player for kneeling during  the national anthem but you are willing to sign a child beater, then I would question scruples.

For what it's worth, Charean Williams (PFT) believes Peterson is much higher on the Texans as an option.
