I made the mistake of turning on FNZ for my commute home on Friday, and they were having a live on air spelling bee between Garcia and that other pencildick who runs the board and sounds like a 14 year old. Good grief. That station is so terrible and it’s probably only a matter of time before they have to reformat the entire lineup again anyway. 

Usually I just turn the channel when they get tiring.   Just curious, what sports show/ station do u listen to to get your fix?

At work I listen to Dan Patrick followed by Jim Rome. I dont listen to DP everyday but I listen to Jim Rome almost every day, really depends on how busy I am. Ride home from work I shuffle back and forth between FNZ and Gerry V on ESPN730 and sometimes listen to John Hancock on WBT. I actually preferred Kroeger’s show to the bailey and garcia crap they have on now. 

I remeber Gerry V when he first worked in charlotte with the original Hornets.

I don't listen to WFNZ as much as I used to because of the amount of podcasts I'm subscribed to, but I've always liked Kroeger and it's exciting to see big things happen to a lifelong Charlottean that's grown up as a Hornets/Panthers fan.

I dunno.  Garcia & Bailey weren't on either.  Maybe something is up at FNZ.

Mid day on that station should probably be a national show. There's only so much you can talk about the local sports.

Nothing against Chuck Howard but if he's going to be doing this full time this will be a snoozer. I actually liked the out of town subs they brought in. I was hoping that might stick. They talk our teams better than local guys.

What is chuck Howard doing? He was recently fired from Fox Charlotte for I believe being a little too grabby with one of his female coworkers

Seems he's the new mid-day show host. 

 

On a side note. I'm not a big soccer fan. I certainly would or could be as it's not about not liking it I'm just not one at the moment.  Why do hosts make it a point to be such stereotypical American sports radio boneheads in downplaying it?  It would be in there best interest to cultivate interest in the sport on every level.  When they make the predictable comments it's just a major turnoff and makes me think they just aren't intelligent.

Its was a different host yesterday. Im sure it's just a one day gig until they get a replacement show.
