Turner wants Newton to be more consistent

Christ this article makes zero sense. Cam is perfectly fine. All we need is an alite offensive line, an superior OC who can call plays, a RB that can run through the tackles and legit WRs including a true number one like Julio Jones.  All this will make Cam great.

Also Favre is a good qb, Brady is a great one because he’s consistent (and just much MUCH better) I don’t see the consistency comparison, neither is perfect, and on any given Super Bowl I don’t know many who’d take Farve over Brady.

I mean, I think all those things would make almost any QB pretty successful. There is a hard salary cap in the NFL, however.

Cam would be great if only he had one of the top three receivers in the league?  We do need a true #1 (it isn't Funchess, and certainly wasn't Benjamin), but if you are setting the bar at Julio-type talent you are probably going to be disappointed in perpetuity.

You could eliminate a lot of the “bad stuff” if you’d just allow Cam to be Cam. Give him the freedom to make changes/audibles and most importantly utilize the no huddle offense more than once a month.

If OC’s would move their ego’s aside and forget about putting their own stamp on each game this team would be 100x better.

Well, that's the age old question:  Would you rather have somebody who's sometimes great and sometimes terrible or someone who's consistently good?

Basically, Brady vs Favre.

Tell me Cam's mean, median and amplitude of the highs and lows and then I can answer your question.

Hopefully with the stacked offense we've finally provided him (sans OL) will help alleviate some of those bad games by letting others take up some of the slack for him when he is in a rut...which hopefully won't be much.

Whoooaaa.. Are you saying Cam doesn't sometimes go off the rail with his throwing? Making throws with no pressure sail over receivers heads?  Missing wide open flares to the flats?   Missing throws that he normally hits on consistent basis one game, then the next seemingly off. Sometimes even without overwhelming pressure?  Cam is already great but like the Norv is saying, sometimes he is not consistent.

Oh and the normal premptive:

Yes I love Cam

NO I don't want anyone else

No I don't want to support "insert"

No it's not all Cam's fault.

Yes I know he does a lot.

Yes other QB's miss throws.

Yes it would be great if had an all pro Oline

Yes a running game would help.

This too.  What he has been consistent at is showing that running no-huddle he is great pretty much all the time.
