Titans cutting Kevin Dodd

Dodd was someone I really hoped we'd draft, but then he became someone that I was glad we didn't.

I know some will want to sign him now, but I'm not all that sure he's worth it.

The way he played in the National Championship, I really thought he was going to be a star.

Not really sure what happened, but he just never panned out.

Players have been able to change. Still I don’t understand how someone with god given talent and  lucky enough to be drafted to the NFL in the top 2 rounds could just give up like that.

 

i remember when Dodd was projected to be Drafted first round to the Panthers.

True but I don’t think that’s the issue. The issue is his health and his will to play. He has something wrong mentally. He needs help. I think many players could use mental help and with all the money involved with the NFL I don’t see why every young player doesn’t have someone paid to help him mentally.

Yeah. I've heard people bring up the position switch before. But from what I've read, the positions swhitch is not the source of the problem.

Some guys just don't have it.

Will probably be claimed by the giants or Buffalo before we have a chance.

Dodd never stood a chance in a 3-4.  I wasn’t a huge fan of his regardless but he’d definitely fare better in a 4-3.

Word is he doesn’t have the passion to play football anymore.

Football at the pro level is more of a job than a game. You have to be extremely dedicated to even make it as just a backup.

If he doesn't have the passion for it, it ain't happenin.

He was cut when he didn't show up for camp after not participating in any voluntary offseason activities. No thank you.
