Rivera's Monday Presser

Didn't see a thread. Based on what I'm seeing on Twitter:

- Ron hasn't talked to the athletic training staff to get an update on Williams or Olsen so no news yet.

- DJ Moore is being brought along slowly because of our plethora of receivers

- Rivera liked how Jackson tackled

- Thomas played well and needs to develop rapport and trust with Cam quickly

- We played like it was our first game.

I call BS.

It does seem odd. He may have purposefully avoided talking to them in order so that he couldn't answer the injury questions at the Presser.  I don't know why he would do that, but it seems really weird that he wouldn't have inquired about two of our most important players' injuries this morning.

We always get injury updates on Wed, its happened that way for 10,000 years.

And it's deliberate...

For years, head coach Ron Rivera has avoided talking to head athletic trainer Ryan Vermillion before noon on Mondays. That's because Rivera doesn't want to then go into detail on injuries during his weekly 12:30 press conference.

From the same source...

Rivera also wouldn't go into detail about what forced strong safety Da'Norris Searcy out of the game in the second half, but he did explain why it was Colin Jones and not third-round pick Rashaan Gaulden who replaced Searcy.

I confess I hadn't actually noticed that this happened.

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
