lol at people calling ron a p*ssy. Your on your own 1yard line, if cam gets sacked that is free 2 points. Not to mention if a wr/rb tips a pass to get intercepted, easy td for cinci..I swear some of you would go for it on 4th and 20 likes its madden or something.

I hear you and understand.  But remember he does this no matter this situation.  We could have been at our own 30 and he would have been uber conservative and more than happy to run the clock out and take it to halftime.  I get being conservative from your own 1 yard line but what about the Dallas game where we didn't even try for 6 points and settled for the field goal.   A little killer instict, fearlessness and aggression would be nice every once in a while.  But yeah, in this situation he made the right call.

So let me get this straight guys. When you are pinned you your 1 yard line don't even attempt to gain yards just go ahead and punt it.

Wait no that is too risky they could block it and score because the kicker has no room to work.

Everything in football is a risk ffs.

The only way Ron doesn't run the clock out before half is if we are on the opponents 30 yard line and he would still probably just run it up the gut 3 times and take the field goal because he has no fuging balls.

    • Some people will shift the goal posts but he does still have to consistently help the team win, eventually. Not only help but be the reason. That's what franchise QB's do.
    • One of the Carolina Panthers' newest defenders thinks their pass rush can go from worst to first. ESPN's David Newton recently chatted with outside linebacker Pat Jones II, who signed with the Panthers as a free agent earlier this offseason. Jones comes over from an awfully impressive Minnesota Vikings defense—one that ranked first in takeaways (33), fourth in sacks (49) and second in QB pressure rate (44.4 percent) this past season. And despite a historically-bad campaign by Carolina's defense in 2024, the 26-year-old seems to believe his new unit can be similar—or even better—than his last. "I definitely think we could do something similar, if not better," Jones said, via Newton. "I've seen it before, so I know what it looks like. I look around the building and see we have exactly what it takes to do that." https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/24/panthers-pat-jones-vikings-espn/83840667007/?taid=683219b347846900018fa10a&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter     It's the offseason.  Let hope spring eternal. (actually, I think we are much closer than this board thinks)
    • 5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing.  How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure.  I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol
