He won't maintain it.  Give it a couple more weeks of film and people will scheme to stop him.  That's fine.

What matters is how we adjust to that.

I see what you are saying but Norv did a great job scheming those easy touchdowns when the bengals were keying on McCaffery.

Think that kind of happened today.

Went from 14 catches to 2.  I'm sure people were expecting more CMC catching than running.

People have already been scheming to stop him.  Was pretty clear watching the Cowboys he was their main focus.

Turner's been exploiting it.

It's impossible to scheme to stop him both as a runner and a receiver. Bengals schemed to stop him as a receiver and he goes for nearly 200 on the ground...

Through three games he has 271 rushing yards on 46 carries (5.9 YPC) and 22 catches for 157 yards. That's 428 total yards through only three games, an average of 143 yards a game. That's nearly 2,300 total yards over a whole season - as far as I can tell the best total yardage any Panther has had in a season in around 1,600.

Throw in some TDs an we're looking at a legit OPOY candidate. McCaffery is a special talent and we're just now seeing what he can do.

First we got the player, (Thanks Nipple Shorts) then we got the OC we needed (Thanks Rivera). And thank baby jesus Rivera had this relationship with Turner in San Diego. Adverse as Rivera is to change this never would have happened otherwise.

Ya'll gotta also realize that when Norv Turner is the coach for a team, one thing he ALWAYS does is force-feed the RB.

LDT led the league in touches his first year with Norv.  He had 344 touches the next year too, his last healthy year with Turner.  Peterson led the league in touches in his only season with Norv Turner.  Emmitt Smith led the league in touches 2 out of his 3 years with Norv (400+), and he probably would have led again in 1993 if it wasn't for having to miss some time.  Ricky Williams had 400+ touches in both seasons with Turner, leading the league in 2003.  In Gore's only season with Norv, he had 373 touches which was 6th that year (60+ catches).

This is why I was so excited for this pairing and why, in my opinion, Norv was gonna work with this offense more where he hadn't with other offenses recently.

When Turner has an elite talent at RB, he feeds the hell out of him.  McCaffrey isn't just gonna break-down either.  I'm not saying he'll keep averaging 143 YFSPG, that would be insane, but I definitely expect him to hover around 120.  I mean its gonna be hard to keep him under 100.  Between receiving and rushing, he'll almost certainly get around 50 a piece.

Norv Turner needs an elite RB for his offense to work IMO.  CMC is that.

No one can stop it because you can't scheme it. You either allow him to beat you running or through the air. Once Greg, Byrd, and Samuel get back it becomes even more complex.

This is what I was saying when Norv was hired.  When you hear his name, most fans think of high flying Coryell offenses....I think of LT and Gates....or CMC and Olsen (were he healthy).

He actually did great drafting both CMC and Saquon. We get to see them go head to head in our next game against the Giants.

If you haven't seen him go watch some highlights of Saquons first 3 games. Just incredible balance and speed.
