I'm not sure if anyone has made a thread about this. Probably has but yeah..

 

 

This win reminds me a lot of the 2015 season. Mainly finding ways to win. Not to lose. This game in particular, I believe we went to NY, it was that beckham/Norman fight game. 

The game it really reminded me of was the Colts win on Monday night? Or thursday? Where Gano won it for us too. The colts were underdogs and we kept it close but it was his fg that got us through it. 

Hopefully we do make it back to the big dance and win it this time. Today was a good day my friends.

Luke McCown

Ryan x2

Jameis (rookie) x2

Bortles (lol)

Mariota (rookie)

Ryan Mallet (LOL)

Sam Bradford with Chip Kelly (what a terrible pairing that was)

What was left of Tony Romo

Russell Wilson

 

every QB listed that you would consider “good” put up more than 20 on us. We mauled Matt Ryan in the 1st game then 2 weeks later gave up 20. Brees torched us in the dome, Rodgers and Eli mounted large comebacks against us. Russ got outdueled by Cam, all the scrub QBs we played scored less than 20 with the exception of Luke McCown

That has more to do with New Orleans offensive scheme being a mismatch nightmare for us than the defense starting off bad.

Defense lived off turnovers and Josh Norman. Pass rush honestly was mediocre outside of KK Short going ballistic. It did pick up later in the season when o-line quality around the league dropped. 

Playoff and SB stretch featured some of the league’s better offenses coupled with sub-par o-lines. Partly why our defense was so dominant through the whole stretch.

      Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .

      Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.

      Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
