We're just not a very good football team right now. We're 20th in the league in yards per game. We're 20th in the league in yards allowed per game. We're 12th in points for, we're 13th in points against.

It's surprising that were 3-2. Had Gano missed that hail Mary and we were 2-3 I'd say that record pretty much perfectly matches what the stats would suggest.

We are also a few coaching decisions and a turnover or two away from 5-0. We haven't been blown out yet and we have been in every game until the final seconds. Even with our bad statistics we are managing to hang in there and that is all you can really ask for in today's NFL.

I call BS. Cam can run any offense. Remember when Jared Goff and Todd Gurley were huge busts and the Rams offense was the worst in the league? What happened over there? Oh yeah, they got rid of their HC who still thought it was 1980 and now has straight slaughtered the league on offense. Again, until Rivera is gone, it really doesn't matter who we bring in at OC tbh.

We know what we got in cam and his weaknesses and what he does best and yet we bring in mike Shula 2.0 that is trying to make him into a pocket passer which he sucks at , we need cam to be using his running and let him roll out but once again we are wasting the most talented player we ever had and it's a shame . Get someone that will use him right . Let cam be cam not cam trying to be rivers or brees . I want a offensive minded coach that will know how to run an offense with cam , it's time for a change , we ain't winning a sb under rivera and hurney we need jerrys boys out and see who tepper brings in with the big $$  . Tired of the same poo every year

I m actually ok with turner and with cam. Ron isn’t that good of a coach and is over rated. Look at his coaching tree, all of them are getting their doors blown off and have been hiding behind cam and Luke’s own greatness. My biggest issue with Ron right now is still how much the vets are still playing over the future of this team. Yes, Torrey smith scored, but he was wide open and any other we could have done the same.

Why isn’t Funchess, Moore, and Samuel the consisten 3 WRs on the field. Wright is solid and deserves rotation but, Holt is just redundant and we get what he offers in both Moore and Samuel, who are better after the catch and probably separation at this point. Also our pass rush is old and decrepit, why are we relying on 37 year old pep to be our main source of pressure. Looked like Kk was getting doubled and the rest just getting handled... we should have invested in some pass rusher later instead of projects like Haynes and more back up linebackers.

I don't have a problem with LT's analysis but I think he is lacking context. I assume he just saw the final score 17-23, but didnt watch the game from beginning to end. The Panthers went down 17-0 early because of turnovers and conservative playcalling. Finally when the offense was able to open it up and move down the field, the defense allowed long time consuming drives. Hence why the Panthers offense only go the ball 3 times in second half. My biggest concern with this team is whether Rivera will realize that his defense is not elite and we need the offense to carry the torch for this team. We don't run the ball 5 straight times and punt on 4th and 1 if Rivera comes to grips with reality.

Cam had a 93 passer rating for 275 and a TD during a game where he possessed the ball 10 mins less than the opposing team bc our D couldn't get off the field. Even if he wanted to he couldn't step up into the pocket and the only pick he threw was because of pressure. I think he threw it because he knew it'd be the same as a punt and he wanted to try and make something happen. He had a WR fumble the ball on a drive that looked like we were going in to score again....and our top runner ran 8 for 20.

I get why people in the media try to criticize Cam but maybe LT should sit this one out considering Cam was our best player by far yesterday (O or D) and had a top 10 QBR and passer rating with zero running game.

Good teams expose those that are "hanging in there." I expect the Saints game to be really ugly if Rivera doesn't take over play calling from Washington. Our DL has been one of the worst I have seen as a Panthers fan. We need that line to be great if we are going to be a playoff team and right now they are terrible.

Cam had a very slow start yesterday but got things rolling in the second half, and he was actually looking in rhythm and hitting a lot of those timing routes.  My opinion - because the offense picked up the pace.  I don't care what anyone around here thinks - offenses move the ball better in up tempo.  That being said, the slow starts have got to stop.

None of that will fix the defense, which has been absolutely atrocious to this point in the season.  We are pampered around here getting to see a top-10 defense year in and year out, but this defense is a shell of it's former self.  Horrible.

I love LT but he's wrong on this one. I watched Norv's offense the whole time he was in San Diego, it didn't look any better with Rivers running it then Cam. The only thing missing are the deep shots, but Norv typically likes big jump ball receivers on the outside making those catches, which we don't really have on this roster. It's the inside slants and posts that we need improve our execution at.

I think he is 100% spot on.  How many times do we see Cam take the snap, take a drop and then get the ball out on time, and in rhythm?  Hardly ever from what I can tell.  Cam holds onto the ball FOREVER.  I never see him get the ball, take his drop, plant his foot and fire the ball.  It just looks to me like every single play takes maximum effort and always looks to be on the verge of falling apart.  Everything looks like it is too hard.  Also, it seems like we try to incorporate read option action into just about every running play.  While that sounds good in theory, in reality it causes every single on of our running plays to take forever to happen, and there is usually a jumble at the exchange point.  Everyone notice how hard Peterson was hitting the hole yesterday?  Thats because he gets a full head of steam before he even takes the hand-off.

    • Just another 1st round QB that never paid off for the team that drafted them or traded for them. It's been like this since the SB began. 36 QBs have now won the SB & only 13 of them have been 1st rounders winning with their original team. Namath 1968, Griese 1972, Bradshaw 1974, McMahon 1985, Simms 1986, Aikman 1992, Elway 1997, Roethlisberger 2005, P.Manning 2006, E.Manning 2007, Rodgers 2010, Flacco 2012, & Mahomes 2019. Only 3 have taken longer than 5 seasons as the starter to win a SB.  4  6  5  4  6  4  15  2  9  4  3  5  2 [the years it takes for these 1st round QBs] 5  1  4  1  3  1  1  2  3  4  [10 of the 36 have won a chip with their 1st team that haven't been drafted in the 1st round. These are the years it took them as a starter] What stands out? Only 2 of these QBs have lost their first championship appearance. Elway took 4 years as a 1st rounder & Hurts took 2 years as a 2nd rounder. Of the 10 non-1st round QBs, 2 are 2nd rounders, 3 are 3rd rounders, 5 are 6th rounders or later. Please stop wasting time on drafting 1st round QBs with such a high failure rate. The remaining 13 QBs are traded or free agent signings. Stafford, Favre, Young, Williams and Dawson are the 5 trades. Peyton Manning & Tom Brady also won for teams as free agents on a short stay as well as being drafted. The lesson here is don't waste your franchise on farming up 1st rounders for the league, and steer clear of trading for a franchise QB. Stick to finding that championship QB by drafting them outside of the 1st round or through free agency.
    • I lost most of the respect I had for Fox in 2010. He should have resigned if he hated the job that much. Instead he stuck for his paycheck and let stuff go to hell.    I burned out on Ron too but my deal breaker issue with him was away from football and after he was gone from the Panthers. He may have been out of his depth but never quit on us.
    • From where they were one year ago to now, pretty incredible. I mean, say what you want about Vrabel he is no Jerrod Mayo.
