Another puzzling question.....

A screen is the easiest catch in football,.. and you run behind the blocks,...

I guess the staff thought a “tightend”, even just a blocking tightend would catch a screen and get 5-7 yards, misdirection.

they wouldn’t see it coming because rightfully, no one would try to cover Manhertz—-

Norv won’t try that again— Manhertz choked his only chance.

If anything it screams that they have specific role him and dont plan to give him a bigger one. It doesnt matter how many plays he makes in his limited opportunities. This is a freakin second round pick on spot duty and a first round pick as well. Why even draft these guys that high if this is how you are gonna use them? Could have waited drafted role players later.

What fuging scheme? And what team in the NFL sits there playmakers do to scheme for a game?

So Torrey Smith is more suitable for most schemes in the nfl then curtis samuel??

Its really becoming harder and harder to take serious the bull poo that comes out Riveras mouth. He blamed the damn weather too. .......GTFOH

My theory on RR?  He is a player's coach.  He advocates for them.  He develops personal relationships and biases in the process that he does not  effectively control.   He is not good at objectively analyzing them once he gets to know them.  I realize some of this is bluffing to the media, but his actions are my basis for judgement.  Amini, for example, should not be in the NFL--he was going to start him over Moton.

Maybe as a player he despised rookies, so he has a bias toward  them.  I do not know.

The only thing I can figure is that his route miscommunications that led to two INTs vs. the Giants led to him getting leapfrogged by the vet.

This. The cardinal rule of route running - you NEVER STOP RUNNING. He did that twice, and now is deservingly in Rivera’s doghouse.

Doghouse or not.. Man Man should not be getting plays designed for him, and I dout he is better than Ian Thomas at anything.. that goes for outside of football as well, like everything..say breathing.

That is definitely not always true especially for TEs. There are tons of occasions where a route or situation will call for a TE to sit down in a soft spot in a zone. Now whether that was the case on the 2nd INT I don't know, but he did actually sit down in a hole in the Giants zone. The 1st one was 100% on Thomas though. That much was obvious.
