Donte Jackson has allowed the lowest passer rating (54) of any rookie DB by 10+ this far.

Well, on the bright side, our rookie is really good.

Ironically it seems like corner is the least worrisome part of our defense. Even when we're getting attacked through the air it seems like most of the targets are in the middle of the field.

Very true. If the pass rush improves, we would be much better. I will say though, we are always 7 yards off of WRs, so they can just run quick slants and have a free 5-7 yards across the middle. Maybe press more?

Donte, DJ and Ian are going to be studs. And maybe Gaulden could be at some point too. Less confident in Haynes but maybe he'll contribute at some point.

I would like to see Gaulden get most of the starting reps at safety honestly. He has looked very steady when he has been out there the last couple games.

The Haynes pick still makes no sense to me. The guy would be way undersized as a 3-4 OLB and we are trying to use him as a 4-3 DE. He was just a late 4th and I really like what we did on our first 4 picks but still wtf Hurney.

It’s really odd when corner is the strength of a Carolina Panthers defense. Bradberry isn’t chasing as much this year, he’s always glued to his eye, Jackson is a homing missile whenever a ball is thrown his way.

Sounds painful

    • And remind y’all that Rico Dowdle ran the ball 7 times on Monday.
    • I didn't want to pay him and they should have traded him before the 20+ million in dead cap. I feel this is another "blame tepper", he wanted a QB and Panthers only had 4 draft picks. CMC got a bad health report and missed games, but league still valued him and he was the best player on the team. Shitttttterererererererer traded him for 4 future picks, the future 2nd ended up being 61st........so all the other draft picks in 5th 4th were next to last, just a mistake. Yes 49ers at the time looked cook, but CMC helped them reach the SB. Used that 2nd and 3rd in the BY and DJ Johnson trades.....just awful returns. It was dirty to wilks to trade CMC while he was trying to make the playoffs, best I member the run game got better after the trade....   Im just one of those "never pay RB, safety, or MLBs" unless cheap/all world. CMC is not all world, but he's dang close.  Poorly handle, he bought a big home and thought he'd remain a career panther....Herniay made him the 16 million man, tops by 4 full million and no RB passed that mark for 2 years, God dam fug you herniay.  Im anti-RB, but about the last thing they should have done was trade a 1000 1000 threat that wanted to stay here, just total fumble by the Panthers/tepper/herniay/fittterererererererere per normal for this time-line.
