Great article on Sundays win

There were plenty of people talking about Carolina's lack of rushing success last year, but this year, mysterious silence.

That's probably because by the time they think of something to say, Norv has it all changed up in the next game. Which IMO is not a bad thing. Which McCaffrey do you prepare for? RB, WR, ghost lol?

I haven't read it yet but will, but when you go into the 4th down 17-0 you did not beat the other team at anything...

The article basically explains what I saw early on in the game.

The Panthers offense moving up and down the field all over the Eagles defense. That wasn't the problem.

Problem was the mistakes and penalties. Combine that with the wind forcing more conservative calling at the end of those stalled drives, and it's easy to see why the Panthers weren't on the scoreboard earlier.

Great article.

This jibes with some stats I was looking at earlier. Our run explosiveness at this point in the season this year (#2 in NFL according to Sharp Football) is hugely improved from this time last year.  Look for more from me on this tomorrow. But our run game is our secret sauce for sure.

If not for questionable penalties it would have been 10-9 going into the half. The 3rd Quarter was probably our worst of the game.

And we are usually a very disciplined team in regards to penalties.

    • I'm not sure that in a fair QB competition that Young would beat out Jones.
    • That's why I said stats aside. I lived in CO during Allen's college career and didn't have kids at the time so I watched most of his games. Bruh, I'm telling you. Balls just spraying all over the place. The type of throws where you're honestly trying to figure out who he was even trying to throw that one too. It was crazy. Richardson was inaccurate in college but at least you could tell who he was trying to throw it too. He threw a lot of early in the game Cam Newton type balls where it seemed like he was just a little too amped up and everything was a few feet high. Richardson's misses looked like they were maybe fixable with working on his footwork, release, etc. Josh Allen's misses looked like "ain't no way you're fixin' that poo, dude has a cannon equipped with no sights". LOL Huge props to the Bills for evaluating him as fixable and indeed fixing him.
    • A lot can change over the next week, but here is my best 53-man roster (note: I'm just basing this on guys on the 90 man roster currently). Obviously there could be trades/ waiver claims/ FA signings.   Offense (25) QB (2): Bryce Young, Andy Dalton RB (3): Chuba Hubbard, Rico Dowdle, Trevor Etienne TE (4): Tommy Tremble, JT Sanders, Mitchell Evans, James Mitchell WR (7): Tetoria McMillan, Xavier Legette, Adam Theilen, Jalen Coker, Hunter Renfrow, Jimmy Horn, Brycen Tremayne  OL (9): Ikem Ekwonu, Damien Lewis, Austin Corbett, Robert Hunt, Taylor Moton, Cade Mays, Chandler Zavala, Brady Christensen, Yosh Nijman    Defense (25) DL (6): Derrick Brown, Bobby Brown, Ashawn Robinson, Tershawn Wharton, Sam Roberts, Cam Jackson OLB (5): DJ Wonnum, Pat Jones, Nic Scourton, Princely Umanmielen, Thomas Incoom  ILB (5): Trevin Wallace, Christian Rozeboom, Krys Barnes, Jon Rattigen, Claudin Cherelus S (4): Trevon Moehrig, Demani Richardson, Lathan Ransom, Nick Scott  CB (5): Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson, Chau Smith-Wade, Corey Thornton, Shemar Bartholomew    ST (3): LS: JJ Jansen  P: Sam Martin  K: Matthew Wright    Would like to hear everyone's thoughts
