Not sure if he’s the issue but our run defense up the middle has been garbage this year, worst then I’ve seen in a while

Yeah the penalty was stupid but idk why you guys are mad at him. He's been doing exactly what he is supposed to do. Star had a pretty dumb personal foul penalty last season and I didn't see a thread made about how he sucks. There has been practically no difference between Star and Poe and we got Poe for a discount compared to what the Bills gave Star.

If anything blame Vernon Butler. It's his bum ass fault we had to sign a starting caliber DT. Coaches weren't going to say it before the season but it wasn't about him playing a different DT position. It was because he is fuging terrible. He is probably in the top 5 of Panthers biggest first round busts.

Same poo regardless. Once Star went to Buffalo to cash in we had to make a move and I still think it was a pretty damn good signing compared to what others got around the league. We should count ourselves lucky. For how much poo we have been giving the D line this season, imagine the same line with Vernon Butler starting. Yikes.

He is taking up space, the same way as Star, and he is effective at it. With two men generally having to keep him at bay, it allows others to do what they do. I don't know what's so hard to understand about that. Sure, he isn't getting much of a pass rush, but that's never really been his forté.

People whined about Star, and now they're whining about Poe. It is what it is. They're nose tackles who command a double team on most plays. Poe's time will come. He'll make a push play ever so often. But he is at least doing the minimum, and still cheaper than Star.

I'm sure that we're stuck with Poe, I don't see a trade or signing happening but we should move on from him (Poe) and Butler at the end of the season. Not sure if we'd get anything but maybe try to trade Butler.
