Saints talking to Dez Bryant. No contract....yet.

Saints are rolling and have 2 excellent WRs plus Kamara, why would they need Dez?

Tre'Quan Smith absolutely would be a better player than Dez at this point and should get more snaps.

Dez Bryant is a Kelvin Benjamin elsewhere on the field. Hardly gets separation. Maybe you'll get better red-zone production (realistically only way I see Sean Peyton maximizing that limited skillset) but I really would be happy to see Dez get a large share of snaps if we're playing.

My guy. Smith is still learning the route tree, and Dez isn't going to take him off the field. He'll take Meredith, who's still working back from injury, and Austin Carr off the field. 

But even talking about Smith, he had a huge game against Washington, thanks to blown coverages. The other 7 games? 9 catches for 103 yards. If you don't think Dez tops that as the #2, I don't know what to tell you.

Ginn on IR and Meredith not really contributing.

Outside of Mike Thomas no WR on the Saints has more than 12 receptions. That’s insane. As great as the offense is, WR depth is missing. I’m not saying he will be amazing, he likely won’t, but he’s with a coach and Qb that can make it work and have him contributing.

My thoughts on potential signings like this tend to focus around one question:

"What does he bring to the team that they don't already have?"

Re: Bryant and the Saints, I'm not sure there's a compelling answer. Depth, maybe...

Can only mean one thing.  Thomas is getting suspended for his celebration antics!!!

I think it's a decent signing for them as long as Dez doesn't have delusions of grandeur like Peterson did.  Accept your role and enjoy the ride.

Haha what??  Dez is not good anymore... truly is a borderline starter, and at best is just a decent possession receiver.  I'll take Bradberry or Jackson on him all day.  Munnerlyn is trash, and he wouldn't have much of an issue with Dez.  Next.

Another weapon for Brees _is ugly no matter how you spin it.. regardless of production, he garners attention, take focus off him & that’s when DB9 eats it up...

And I see this working out as well as it did with Adrian Peterson there. 

I have a hard time seeing them get the money worked out (unless he's desperate) and if they do I see him whining about not getting enough targets.
