Why Cam Newton's arm isn't done and how to fix next year

So normally I share my insider information in preseason and try to shed light on a few things that are about to come to pass like last year and Newton and his progression and Samuel and his time table. Sometimes it's not 100% thing because players respond differently and heal differently. Well here's my not so prophetic information on Newton to date.

1) Is his Sholder in need of surgery or is he done. Well that's a tricky question and my friend had this to say. Medically Newton is dealing with scar tissue and there are two choices. Go in and clean it out or try to loosen it by time and training. From my friends point of view it's a hard decision because surgery could lead to more tissue build up or more range depending on how his body responds. While therapy could permanently solve the problem but take more time. Either way Newton isn't Hurt per say it's just he hasn't fully healed.

2) The second problem comes from his inability to step up and drive through on his throws. It's well known in the locker room that Van Roten isn't great and Kalil one and two are both done. Ones probably retiring and the other has it on his mind. Williams on the other hand is expected to recover well but is willing to sign in Carolina because his recovery will push past training camp. Word was originally he was ready to become big money somewhere else.

Well that's all I have for now. Hope it helps shed some light.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here and say I believe you. The Cam info really doesn't sound good, neither recovery option is enticing.

The OL stuff is all pretty much as expected. Kalils gone and we'll try to upgrade at G and C, with Van Roten and Larsen the backup plans. Williams back on a 1 year deal to reestablish his value and at RT with Moton at LT. If we hit on a G or C in draft or FA we could have a great OL if Williams and Moton stay healthy.

I really hope we give Moton an entire off season and training camp knowing he will be a left tackle. He should have stayed at left tackle all damn season. I get Clark is a better left tackle than right but we could have just passed on him and found a serviceable right tackle since they are way more common.

Just hurry up and get Ron and Hurney the fug out of Charlotte before they can do anymore damage.

why are you hashtagging?  are you a 13 year old girl from 5 years ago?

Yes, but he was not a 13 year old girl 5 years ago.  He was a 13-year old boy five years ago.  And we are all OK with that--just not the stupid posts.

My experience (shoulder surgery twice and I watched HOUSE for several seasons) is that the surgery to repair the scar tissue does not usually create more scar tissue--but I am not sure (obviously).  It can usually be scoped (again, speculating based on my experience)  I can't imagine, however, a $20m QB not knowing the source of the problem, if that is accurate. If all it was is scar tissue, would Cam and RR not say so?

Idk who your friend is but he’s a smart guy. Choose PT, all day, every day, every time. At least conservatively before even considering surgery. You can’t just repetitively cut into muscle, fascia, etc and expect the tissue to heal the same. Newton needs time which is unfortunately a sparce commodity in professional sports.

    • You honestly think Tampa would have traded down with a division rival so their rival could land a “generational player” at a massive position of need for TB?   bruh
    • Ya'll better quit throwing shots at Zod. He'll come in here and ban everybody. I had a friend @prosource who was banned in 2015 because he said some very minor things about Zod being an ass to the posters on the main forum after starting the All-Pro one. He said he felt like another level is cool, but don't punch down on people that don't want All-Pro. (He did say that it wasn't going to last long anyways.🤔) I distinctly remember him calling and being like "dude, I got banned, my profile says I don't have access to the Huddle!") I feel like once Tepper came in and cut off all unofficial access to the team, Zod was going to be around less. The All-Pro board had really good photos, even in game stuff, and I remember seeing him behind a little fenced in area at Wofford for non team sanctioned press/photographers after Tepper bought the team. I knew then his ego wouldn't allow him to continue with past fervency and effort with that reduction in access. Dude was literally in the locker room when JR was owner.  I came over in 2011 immediately after finding out this place existed. I was super involved with the Charlotte forum, and fell off after its demise. I will never forget arguing Pep over Ryan Sims on that forum! Who is Ryan Sims some of you may ask? My answer is exactly!
    • And not see him running free. Because has been free a lot more than he gets credit for.    Now what XL does with that when he does see the ball, is on him.
