A follow-up question to those who believe it is too "risky" to replace a head coach because the new HC might not be better than the present HC

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence mentality is not always the successful one (and probably leads to failure more times than not). It's infinitely easier to say "fug it," and blow things up, as opposed to saying "Let's scrutinize the bigger picture." Sure you can take a machete to surgery which requires a scalpel, but that's not necessarily the best course of action to effect the desired result. Determining areas that need fixing and providing specific tools necessary to fix specific problems is a more thoughtful approach towards eventual success, especially if you've had largely positive outcomes in the past. Tweaking teams by changing coaches and players here and there is literally what true managing is all about.

The keyword here is "eventually". This is a team that have now pissed away 17 years of sorry ass 80´s boring sad conservative football with Fox and Rowboat Ron.. For that we have 6 winning seasons.

Hadn't really thought about it in those terms.

Man, that is just pathetic.

I get it that many people's opinion on Ron is set in stone, although I think he has the ability to learn from his mistakes just like Hurndog did with his improved drafting results.   I am not saying Ron is good but I am saying I am keeping an open mind no matter what Tepper decides.

Like someone else said it's a chicken poo mentality. Hurney and Rivera have been horrible together and keeping them shows exactly how much you care about winning. I expect this will probably be a six year downward spiral that we will see both Luke and Cam wasted at the end.

Back in his first few seasons when he talked about it being a learning process for him as a head coach I believed him and figured he would get better.  Then I watched him double down on making the same decisions and mistakes for five more years.  The light bulb hasnt flashed on.  The light bulb is busted.  At this point, its not his fault, its who leaves him there.
