Of course there is more to it, but having Russ on a VERY cheap deal, without having to spend a 1st round pick on his is HUGE.

Yep, having a quality QB on a rookie contract is a big advantage. It still is. Just look at teams like the Chiefs, Rams, Bears, etc.

Guess who else had that advantage for several years?

Most of that amazing draft is gone now and despite a pathwork OL and injury issues they still went 10-6 and made the playoffs. That's the difference between a Pete Carroll and a Ron Rivera. We have to catch every break we can to have a winning record under Rivera.

To be honest, it's not so much about Carroll as a coach as it is just another fanbase having similar complaints.

I'd say it's just another radio personality trying to stir the pot for ratings.

Most Seahawks fans I've come in contact w/during and after Saturday's loss have a really positive attitude about the team.  Of course they're disappointed about the playoff loss, but it was a much better season than most fans could reasonably hope for and all signs for the future are pointing up.

To answer the OP...

1. Just what is the offensive identity of the Seahawks? Rhetorical question, but the fact they had so many injuries, lost a bunch of good players and still plowed their way into the post season says a lot about coaching.

2. Say what you want about Wilson, but on the other end of those throws were Baldwin and Lockett- and they are legit.

3. They played D with a bunch of no-names with Sherman, Bennett, Chancellor and a couple other guys gone.

And the only reason they lost to Dallas was because Janikowski pulled a hammy.

This also sounds a bit familiar.... specifically good talent... laissez faire coach.

What a bunch of crap tweet.

There are 30 teams in the NFL "more offensively potent than Baltimore."

"Battle tested" LA Rams? WTF are you even talking about?

New England has always been on the short end of talent, but they have a coach who gets every last ounce of effort from every guy on the roster.

This.

BB demands more from his players, seems to coach up/prep his players better than the competition.

Yes, New England certainly has their "WTF?" moments, but they seem to happen less often than with the other teams in the league.

When NE needs to score and time is at a premium, you don't see them struggling to get to the line and snap the ball (like some other teams that will remain nameless).

To me that is a sign of a well coached team.

The Seahawks WILDLY overachieved this season, they have no reason to be complaining about Pete Carroll. The fact he drug that roster to the playoffs is pretty amazing as it is.

the seahawks are consistently one of the luckiest teams I've ever seen.
