They got robbed on that particular call, but I’m completely fine with it. F*ck the Saints and everything about them.

That got robbed on that call, but the refs let them slip the entire game by not throwing flags on obvious penalties by the Saints.

Its their fault they settled for field goalswhen gifted an interception in the Rams territory and interception in overtime. How much help do you need the refs kept their flags in their pockets for them and gifted some calls their way when it should not have been called. You still had a hot to win the game even with the missed call and botched it. Take the L and get ready for next yr. Congrats to the Rams! Outcoached and outplayed bottom line.Cry me a river as Justin Timberlake sings!

The Saints typically enjoy the referee benefits of being a passing team with a future HoF QB. They typically get away with murder, and rack up BS calls in their favor. The usual was happening in the Rams game, BUT then something magical happened. The ultimate missed call of the entire season right in front of a ref. Wonderful.

As a Panthers fan I don't worry about one terrible call. I worry about a series systematic bad calls every game. Thank goodness for the challenge flags because otherwise we'd never even get a close 1st down. The refs back the ball up 2 yards on any close run, then we have to red flag FORCE them to go under the hood and look and see how much they cheated and move the ball back up to the correct spot. We get offensive line holding calls on run plays where you look at the footage in slow motion and the lineman didn't hold at all, and it's usually on a huge game breaking play. 0% holding, plop goes the flag. It was open season on Cam until it became NATIONAL news that refs were allowing our QB to get brain damage on skull crushing head shots. I could keep going, but being a Panthers fan pretty much involves shouting at refs and fearing the next bogus yellow flag to hit the field. Why? We're a small market team. Refs lean against us. That's life. If we were the NY Panthers it wouldn't be this way.

There needs to be a total overhaul of the refereeing system in the NFL. The worst refs need to be fired, and a new crop needs to be brought in to replace them. Churn the bottom. If that already happens, then raise the standards and step up the firing.

Too bad the Refs blew the last call. Guess they were making up for these.

This x100  - The Aints are dirty, nasty creatures who will do anything if they can get away with it, and then whine like a new born calf when ONE call doesn't fall for them.  Enjoy the Super Bowl boys....

    • the one thing this post has suprised me with is how much support there still is for young.  i dont understand why.  we had qbs before him that went to superbowls that lost support way quicker.  thr only qb we had had that started any number of games that played worse than young is clausen.  allen and moore played better and yet people still support him makes 0 sense to me
    • Again, can’t have a serious discussion if constantly wading through hyperbole. And you say that’s not really what was meant, but I tried to at one point get some folks to concede that he was physically capable of throwing a football 20yds just so we could get to a real discussion and they stuck with it. So I’m not sure your characterization is entirely accurate.
    • And this is his third year. As far as people not understanding things, I am not sure people accept how difficult it is to remake yourself from the ground up. Which he absolutely has to do to compete successfully at the NFL level.  He takes a step forward with the footwork and a step back when he is stressed and reverts to what always worked for him before. I will say it yet again, anyone that reached a level of success with their self taught technique but needed to rebuild to break through the limitations that imposed, will understand this. I don’t care what specific activity it is the same challenge. Muscle memory and comfort level fight against the new moves you are trying to train yourself to do without thinking.  He is there. There is a ceiling with his technique that is too low for the NFL. He has to retrain himself.  We are in the third year and I guess we are supposed believe that he will be so good  when he finally gets to where the new will be second nature, that we have to wait (how many more years) for him to finish doing it. If he ever finishes.  The sad fact is he will not succeed at the NFL level with his horrible college footwork and compensation moves like the tippy toe drop backs. He just won’t.  If he can’t put that on the table for us, we would be foolish to not seek an alternative plan.
