I need to look into Savage

I know Draftnetwork is high on hjm and other are not.

With thay speed though.  Need to go look into

He plays “fast”. That time doesn’t surprise me at all. Before we signed Reid, I would have been happy with CGJ at SS and Savage at FS with our 3rd rounders.

I like Gardner-Johnson and Thornhill for our FS vacancy. None of them will be available in the 3rd though.

The mid-round guys are always the hardest to predict. Always feels like there are way more guys predicted to be 2nd-5th round picks than there are actual 2nd-5th round picks. It's how every year there are guy projected to be 3rd rounders who don't go until the 6th or 7th. Feels like every year there's some poor sap who ends up being the BPA on the talking heads' big boards for half a day or more.

Surprised by Jaquan Johnson's 40, but he moves fast in pads still so I won't be too disheartened.

Love Jaquan. I think he’s a great prospect. He’s more of a SS but if he falls far enough, I’d draft him.

^what I expected from Greedy!  At 6'2 185 he's moving back up to where he was

Adjusted to a 4.37. WOW. I take back everything I said about him not being an elite athlete. Put him in the pool to possibly be drafted in that top 15 group. WOOOW.

Did they even run?

I don't think they participated in any of the drills. Hopefully they can go for their Pro Days. Both have questions to answer. Thompson was torched by every future elite NFL QB prospect he faced. Adderley has to prove that he can translate to the NFL and that he wasn't just a big fish in a small pond. I always think the drills are more important for the small program guys since they rarely if ever faced top competition at the college level.

That’s not good. I guess we can now draft one of them in the 2nd. Apparently, chauncey is moving up the board now. I might be able to settle for Taylor Rapp.

I'm just not in love with any of the safeties this year, unfortunately. I wanted Derwin James BAD last year.

I think we all wanted Derwin. I wasnt a fan of bringing Reid back. I thought he was a liability in coverage. Obviously FS will be a top priority with not bringing Adams back. I think Rivera is smart enough to not have Gaulden be the day 1 starter. I know a lot of free agents have come out and say they want this and that, but it’s not up to them. The market has declined quite a bit now. I think we find a FS in FA. And hopefully it’s Mathieu or Haha. Maybe even Adrian Phillips. Now, if we look into the draft Taylor Rapp just seem like a Rivera’s guy. Similar to Coleman.

I like bringing Reid back IF we pair him with a better option at FS. Without a better FS, we'll be forced to play him out of position a lot again next year and we won't get good value out of him.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
