Have we all seen WR D.K Metcalf?

We could use a tall WR who can actually catch the ball. That would have to be priority number 1, being that we struck out so hard on Funchess and Benjamin.

I'm confused about the picture, is he the one on the left? If so he seems a bit bulky to be playing WR efficiently.

"Iowa State’s Hakeem Butler is not only the tallest wide receiver at this year’s combine (6-5 3/8), but his hands are also a freakish 10 34 — the same size as the largest hands in the NBA. The combination of Butler’s hand zone and his impressive 35 2/8 arms give him an incredible 83 7/8 wingspan; which mean he has the arms of a person who is 7 feet tall. "

Yes he is the big one on the left. Guy has been pretty good at ole miss.

Dude is a freak but so dam raw

They say his route tree is pretty limited

He missed most of last year with with a neck injury which he has since been cleared.

Doubt he makes it to 16.

Plus, our only DEs signed for next year are Addison, Obada, and Marquise Haynes.  And your solid starting DEs are going to be going for 14-15 on the market which we just cant afford.

Metcalf really reminds me of this guy though

Same size, projected speed, and about the same point coming out as far as route runners

One problem, football isn't bodybuilding.

The guy caught 26 passes for 569 yards in an offense that threw the ball 440 times for nearly 4200 yards.

This guy is the prototypical bust. Mediocre college production, but unreal physical talent and absolutely looks the part

Remember when David Boston swole up to such an absurd size and was out of the league shortly thereafter?

Yep. You don't need to carry a ton of muscle mass to play WR. Those knees don't know the difference between fat weight and muscle weight. Either way, they're carrying extra weight. How many great WRs have been built like bodybuilders? Jerry Rice is the GOAT and the guy was built like a bean pole while playing in a league that allowed DBs to be much more physical against WRs than today's NFL.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
