Report: Contract talks between Panthers, Daryl Williams stall

Williams is an RT. We either have a better replacement RT in Moton, or we’re moving Moton to LT and are either drafting or picking up a FA RT. I think however it plays out, the extra money Williams wants doesn’t justify the minor level of better play on the right side he offers over a high round rookie or a midrange FA.

That’s been the case for all our former players, norwell,KB, Star etc....granted I agree with some players being good, just I see a pattern of teams familiar with us picking up our players left and right he’ll Stewart and i think Shepard got picked up

Star helped the Bills' defense improve leaps and bounds. Neither the Bills nor the Giants gave Norwell the largest OG contract on NFL history like the Jags did. The Giants picked up Shepard for $1.25M with only $250k of that guaranteed. KB... yeah, LOL! Beane played himself on that one.

It’s called watching the games lol, highest paid lt in the league gave up like 5 sacks in the first 6-7 games

clips are on nfl.com

they gave up like 300 sacks against Dallas last year lol

Clips? Highlight videos? Surely you’re not serious?

I’m sure you have watched every NYG game and graded it.

Or the truth....you heard a guy on a morning show say something bad about Solder. We don’t know who? Or when? Just that you heard it. And it encompassed the entire season. Got it.

My bad didn’t know a hall of famer was “just a guy” when talking football. Sharpe, Carter, and Scherth(spelled wrong) all stated the same, for a guy that’s the highest paid tackle he perform average. You asked if i had clips I responded than you ask if I’m serious.....not sure you understand what you’re actually asking for

There are a LOT of Panthers fans in support of paying this guy an additional $7M this season instead of making him a post-June 1st cut and clearing up $7.25M in cap space. A large chunk of this fanbase has seemingly moved past the point of numbness to watching the Panthers make baffling roster moves and have moved into full on Stockholm Syndrome territory in defending them.

For there to be "a lot" I must be blind because I haven't seen anyone in favor of keeping him

Wait...wait...wait.....

How did we go from that vulgar reference of his play to now, suddenly AVERAGE? That’s a big difference in statements. And certainly a far cry from....something, something R Kelly.

Which is it. Because I actually agree with this one.

It was a joke lol but you took it a little too much to heart. Based on pay and production he sucked, based on production he was average.

I could tell by the second post you meant average. 300 sacks! No mention of joking until questioned on double-talk.

TB just paid 14/yr for a guy who hasn’t been close to average. Ever. So those are the times.

Moton should have started at LT all last season. Not believing Clark + Moton was a better combo than getting an extended look him at LT and plugging whoever in at RG. They kicked the can on the o-line problem yet again, knowing Williams free agency was coming up.
