1 tackle fine... 2 is ridonkulous unless it’s someone that plays guard and tackle and we take after we’ve at very least invested a couple of our 2nd through 4th picks on passrushers so we have a better shot of hitting big on at least one of them or we are fuggggged

I hear ya,... defense seems like what we set up with FA so far and with Moton and Williams.

keep in mind Williams is a one year deal— so I wouldn’t be shocked if the first pick was Jonah, Risner or Cody.

the highlights I watched of Burns Sweat and Gary had me scared— Ferrell has the only highlights I could see being NFL highlights. The others had all kinds of issues. Sweat has Everette Brown written all over him. Burns has more of a motor and more moves but he looked weak. Gary looks slow and weak— terrible highlights.

people say best defensive draft ever, but from what I’ve seen could be the biggest defensive bust fest ever.

Not going to lie dude.. My and you share alot of opinions here.

Sweat scares me because on tape he looks unblocked alot..

Burns can come in and be a situational pass rusher and a 3/4 OLB but I don't think he is big enough to start in our 4/3 base.

Gary has a huge upside but never met expectations in college..

Ferrell seem like he is day 1 ready to go..

Sweat is really fast— so in college he zooms by a lot of guys... but from what I saw, anytime someone got in his way— one move. Everette Brown had one move and the NFL is so fast Sweat won’t believe it.

burns to me has a lot more tools and motor on film than Sweat,.. but we definitely doing the 3-4 thing with him. He gets shoved off course a lot, has a motor so he corrects but wow.

Ferrell to me has a motor, like a Jared Allen motor, had 6 plays in a row on the film I saw where each was different technique, and had the ass to back it up.

Gary’s highlights look terrible— I don’t know how anyone is high on that guy.

Is there any promise that Jonah will be there for us at 16? Again, I've heard "supposedly" our offensive line coach matsko is he is that we are high Dillard and Jonah. "Supposedly.." i dont want to get grilled later on, can only say what i've heard.

I’ve seen mocks with Jonah off at number 3 and many more where he’s gone at 7 to Jax, Taylor is usually gone with him by 16. I’ve seen a few where those 2 and Cody Ford all gone by 16.

We will probably take Burns or Ferrell— and either way so be it. Im good as long as they are day one starters. Dilliard I’ve seen go 7th to Jax and others there, and Taylor with Jonah are both gone too at 16. In that case it’s a no brainer— probably would have Ferrell— I’m sorry folks I’m just not that high on Sweat after seeing his film— he will be wearing Everette Brown’s number.

IIf all the targeted edge rush guys are gone then I am all aboard the BPA among CB & DT. We need an elite cb to push/replace Bradbury DT for Short but to shoot your wad with early picks on a weak OT class is just not a smart move. It will be a need but lets do that in 2020.

Moton, D Will are above average/improvements over 2018's OTs and this is the year to replenish the Defensive cupboard.

If we can get a Christian Wilkins or a top 3 CB I will be more than happy.

I love Brooks and Baldy but this left me confused..They are usually correct with their breakdowns on this team .............but.  ....When did we lose Moton last season??

Same here. Those two guys usually have the best and most educated takes on this team from anyone in the big media, but I think they dropped the ball on this one. Came in expecting solid and informed thoughts and was left feeling like someone just handed them opinions and they threw poo on the wall without any thought put into it.

I agree Ferrell probably could be a day one starter.  But with Addison and Irvin here I am looking at over ceiling in the 1st rd.  Ferrell certainly has a higher floor but I want Burns in the first.  Just the way I wanted DJ over Ridley last year because I think DJ has a much higher ceiling.

I would not necessarily be opposed to a 1st round OT depending on how the board shakes out. I WOULD be opposed to Greg Little in the 1st. Anytime you have to mention a guy's HS recruit ranking to justify his draft position, he's trash. I would also be opposed to double dipping at OT with Moton already on the roster and plenty of holes elsewhere.

    • If you're looking for a pat on the back it sounds good in theory until you realize they also had the 2023 Panthers as the top draft class.
    • Going into the 2003 and 2015 seasons we were supposed to be the joke of the league each time. In 2003, John Fox was supposed to still be in rebuild mode. We had a guy named Peppers on the defensive line who was supposed to be pretty good. We had Rodney Peete as our starting QB and a line that was a lot of hope and not much experience. Our new running back was a guy the Redskins, errrr Commanders, had jettisoned for being too old. We had a good kicker and writers thought that was needed because there were going to be more field goals than touch downs. Heck, it looked like they were right up until just before halftime of that first game when we had to yank Rodney Peete and put in some Cajun duded whose name couldn't be pronounced. And Steve Smith? He wasn't Smitty yet. Moose Muhammad, well, he was close to being written off as a bust. You know how that turned out. And then in 2015, we had Cam Newton, who was electrifying to watch but hadn't really won anything yet. There was an offensive line in front of him that looked like it was made in a defunct Swiss cheese factory and our big hope on offense was the great Kelvin Benjamin. And then he got taken out for the year with a knee injury in training camp. Ted "Feet of Lightning, Hands of Stone" Ginn became our default go to guy beside our next best hope, yeah, Devin Funchess. Our defense was pretty good, a scrappy bunch with frikkin' awesome linebacker play and a cornerback who had done more than drank the Kool-Aid, but had snorted the powder. He played like a superhero and became sort of a bat-man during the season. By the Super Bowl he had completely lost his freaking mind, though, and managed to talk his way out of a contract with the team next year. No one was expecting us to win the NFCSouth that season, much less almost go undefeated and into the Super Bowl. So, 2026? Who knows? But our best seasons came when no one had a reason to believe in us, except us.
    • it's not so much this personal vendetta against the Carolina Panthers as it is more about Bryce Young never not once been in the same conversation with the top 15 or even top 20 Qbs in the NFL ..just saying
