Was on talking about the CBS mock.

He went into Safeties.

-Said expects Searcy will not make this team this year.

-then asked if the Reid, Gaulden, Collin Jones will he good enough.

He then said "trust me they have a plan". Seemed confident as if he has his sources.

Would not shock me 1 bit if we go safety with pick 2 or trade pick 3 back into the 2nd for one

The more I keep hearing people connected closely with the org saying something about this plan, it makes me think they're is something really big they're working on that we aren't privy to...  like something outside of the obvious.  Maybe a trade?

how is Roman Harper in the know?  Did we hire him?  The Searcy news, if true, is interesting.  I was hoping he'd be a good back up.

He probably still has a few friends on the team, and maybe among the coaching staff.  That being said, I take all comments such as this with a grain of salt.

Can’t justify taking him over any of the edge rushers, but somehow I want him in a panthers uniform. 16 is too rich due to who will be available but if a trade back happens, it’s time

I agree if we do trade back in a doomsday scenario where all the top edges and tackles are gone Adderly would be my number one choice

I like how Roman Harper really embraced being a Panther. Doesn’t he live here now? Overall he was a good guy to have on the team while he was here.

He does live here, co-hosts local sports radio weekly (does a great job at it also), close ties with guys on the team and former players like Smitty. Going by the way he talks about it all, he really did embrace his time here as a Panther and also the city of Charlotte.

Josh Jones at Packers minicamp, team “working through” potential trade options

A report last month indicated that Packers safety Josh Jones was missing from the team’s voluntary offseason workouts because he wants a trade to another team.

Jones is at this week’s mandatory minicamp, but didn’t practice on Tuesday because of a hamstring issue. He also didn’t comment on whether he’s looking for a trade and directed questioners to General Manager Brian Gutekunst. Gutekunst said the team is still weighing its options.

“I think it’s more about what our team desire is and right now we’re kind of working through that,” Gutekunst said, via PackersNews.com. “But he’s a very talented player. He’s shown that on the field at times. We’ll go along and see where it goes.”

The Packers signed Adrian Amos and drafted Darnell Savage in the first round, so Jones’s easiest path to playing time this season would likely come with a different team.

I would love to see Hurney make a move for Jones. A former 2nd rounder out of NC State. Never really lived up to the status but still a decent player and probably better than what we have after Reid. Only problem I have is, Jones is probably more a SS.

Not only is he strictly a SS, he's really more of a LB type.
