Will Grier interview on ESPN and ABC

I have a feeling he's somebody's second second round pick. Maybe ours.

I like the kid a lot and I think he'd be good for our team. I'll be okay with it if we don't choose him, but I think it would be great if we did.

I'm not going to predict either way. I have no idea.

He's a gunslinger.  Don't mind him but we better be in a position where we've taken at least 2 impact players before selecting him.

1: Burns/Wilkins/Little

2: Polite/Love (ND)/Ford/Winchovich/etc.

3-1: Grier?

3-2: More linemen

4: More linemen

5: More linemen

6: More linemen

THat is how I feel.  I really hope we use our  second rounder on a S or OL--after the edge rusher in the first.    However, I think Marty could take the Qb now and hope that a S like Thornhill or Savage drops to us, as well as OTs Tytus Howard or maybe Bobby Evans in the third.  I  dunno.  Gonna be a very fun draft to watch.

i sure hope not. holy fug that would be bad.

I see that.  I hate to  use a second when we have so many needs.  But if he ends up as a starter in a year or two for us or someone else, it was a good value.  I know some hate him, but he is a boom  or bust player.

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
