He's never going to be one of the top pocket passers, but if he can show grit and will in sacrificing his body, then he puts himself in the best chance to lock up another big contract.

Sick of this narrative, because he damn sure was before TJ Watt put his helmet on his rotator cuff

Here’s a question for you...

Say his shoulder just isn’t right and within a year or two he knows he won’t be a starting QB anymore...

Does he retire or does he become a hybrid RB/TE/WR/Wildcat?

I could see him having a ton of value into his mid to late 30’s as a gadget type player and goal line back.

No, even if the shoulder causes the Panthers to release him, some other team desperate for a QB will pay him as a QB in hopes they can get the shoulder to work.

Where did I say Cam didn't put his body on the line?  The defensive people on this board are enough to make me puke.  I'm saying he has to stick to that bread and butter because he isn't going to be a top pocket passer.  No one will give him a big contract on just his passing.

And, yeah, he has to fight for fumbles.  There, I said it.  Keep beating the dead horse.

There's so much wrong with this post

I'm pretty sure the last thing he'd do is move to a position that has even more contact.

Cam was on fire before he got hurt.

someone will correct me if I am wrong (maybe even if I am not) , but it is/was my understanding that Cam didn't get " hurt"  last season.  It was a matter of scar tissue or whatever needing to be cleaned up.  Those are two entirely different things.

I’m open for clarification as well, my understanding was he took a couple hard falls on it which aggravated or created some sort of nagging injury
