Christian McCaffrey Ranked 42nd , in Annual NFL Top 100 Players Countdown

Do you agree? Think he should be higher? Lower? 

IMO he did great to get in the top 50 in only his 2nd season, but could easily be ranked much higher due to breaking the NFL record for most RB receptions and having the 3rd most yards from scrimmage in the league. Would have easily been 1st if not held out of the last game.

sounds fair. his numbers are a little inflated by one of the highest snap counts in the NFL but he's a threat to break a game every time he touches the ball.

To be in the top 50 players amongst his peers already as he prepares for his 3rd season is pretty indicative of the fact that he has the attention and respect of the league.

Only other Panther I can imagine on the list is Luke, who gets ranked high pretty much every year regardless of the year lol

I share concerns about workload but I believe that is the genesis of his weight gain. 

That said, he’s a top tier RB right now and all signs point to more success.  I’m stoked.

But even with higher snap counts, relatively low touches compared to other RBs with similar or lesser production... I think McC should be top 25-30.

This top 100 is garbage. U put Baker top 50 WTH. CMC should have been top 20 maybe 15. He got poo on for pro bowl to, thanks NFL!

As a critic of his, I'm willing to admit this is too low.  He's a top 30 player to me all day.  The guy is literally the best route runner in the NFL, and he's a running back...

Definitely should've been in top 25. 42 is almost a disgrace for everything CMC did last year.

That abysmal finish to the season probably drove him lower. Had Cam's shoulder held up and we had been able to maintain some semblance of a forward passing game it would've probably freed CMC up to do even more.

Clearly too low.  Take Melvin Gordon at #37.   His yards, were lower last year.  His BEST year ever stats were still lower than CMC's stats last year.  

CMC should be ranked higher.  Next year, he will be.

Gordon's higher probably because the Chargers made a playoff push and won more games.

If CMC had this same performance in 2015 when the Panthers were terrorizing the league, he'd be in the top 20 easily.

Christian McCaffrey landing at No. 42 on the list is a joke

If you would have given me three guesses to select the top running back on this list before it was released, I would have picked three guys ahead of the player who occupies that spot, Todd Gurley. Not that Gurley isn't great. He is. But I would have selected Saquon Barkley, Alvin Kamara and Christian McCaffrey. The CMC ranking absolutely blows my mind. He's a candidate for the top 10 and he didn't even crack the top 40, which is the biggest snub since "Pulp Fiction" was denied the Oscar for best picture in 1995, which went to "Forrest Gump". Tell me right now, if they were both available on Netflix, are you watching "Pulp Fiction" or "Forrest Gump"? I thought so. 

But this McCaffrey thing is insanity. He is the sixth player in NFL history to lead his team outright in carries, rush yards, rush touchdowns, receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He was the whole team. Rushed for 1,000 yards. Had 107 receptions. He's going to be a threat to go 1,000/1,000 this year. What more do you want from him?
