Fox is starting Delhomme not to lose his job but...

I think you are making a bit much out of this decision - Fox has always been very stubborn about replacing players, and seems to rely primarily on practice instead of game time. I think that is why Moore is so far behind. I think, though, that Fox recognizes there is tremendous pressure to try Moore, particularly if Jake falters in Arizona. We will see - if Jake's career is put down in Arizona, then I think Fox will give in to Moore. If Jake has even a decent day, no matter the outcome, we'll hear about how other people need to improve for another week until Jake gives the game to another crappy team.

Fox has put himself in lose-lose situation. Start Moore vs Arizona to appease the fans(and anyone with common sense) and he either 1. plays great, finishes the season playing great, Fox gets fired for sticking with Jake with his contract or 2. Moore plays horribly, Fox gets to say I told you so, and he's fired anyway. The ONLY way for Fox to keep his job is if Jake plays great, not just good, for the rest of the year.

Watch Moore go to another team and become a pro bowler.

I would be okay with that, just so all of the anti-Moore crowd here could eat crow.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting him to be All Pro or anything. I just think it's unfair to outright declare there is no way Moore is capable of starting in this league, especially when he's won two out of the three games he's started.

And this league is about what have you done for my lately. Why are all of you hung up on ancient history.

Oh, because that is the only possible justification..............

Nevermind.....

This FO failed to get a backup QB. They also failed to get Smith help at WR.

You do have two kickers, two FB's however. When a FO starts giving away #1 picks you should smell trouble. The strategy of doing it last year and going big and planning to run was ok and resulted in success. The problem surfaced when you have to play from behind. So going into this year with zero movement on the WR front is a huge fail. Perhaps the biggest fail of all to me. It is the end of the Fox and Delhomme era. Period.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
