I agree, but from everything I have read of the years is Cam cant get the play call correct in the huddle and Greg does. Take it for what its worth but Greg is a coach in the huddle.

Hold up? Cam can't get the play call correct in the huddle? First I've heard of this. If that's true and it's more than one or two little "oops" a game, then Cam needs to get his ish together. Unacceptable...

You can't be a leader if you can't call the plays. You can't complain about the play calls if you don't know them.

I'm a big Cam fan but this is UNSAT!

Skip to 1:25 for the part about Olsen. This is from the 2015 season.

Okay. So it came from Cam. And it was definitely a lot of "tongue in cheek" in that response. Probably not nearly what I was thinking when I first read the comment. Not ideal. But probably not that big a deal either.

Then again... it could be why they can never get to the line of scrimmage with time to audible. I don't know. I'm just gonna ass u me it's not that bad.

It was also 4 years ago so it's impossible for us to know how true that it would be today, but I have long wondered if this is indeed one of the major factors that causes us to be late getting to the line on a regular basis.

I agree with you. However, I think we undervalue Olsen. He’s outplayed his body but Cam has stated how much he helps in the huddle getting plays straight.

I've heard this before, but if our 9th year starting qb still needs help getting plays set in the huddle, something is wrong with our qb or offense as a whole.

Which is why I think Cam is a great athlete, but average QB.

This is waaaay overblown.  People act like Greg has to call every play.  Ridiculous.

CAM NEWTON MAKES PEOPLE STUPID #3657

I don’t think I have ever seen anyone say it’s every play. I always figured at most it was a couple times a game out of 50+ plays and probably most of the time it wouldn’t even matter, but maybe 1 out of 10 or so times it does lead to an issue in the huddle and an unnecessarily burned timeout.

Not the end of the world. If the occasional blow time out was the cost of having Cam be the QB then it’s still worth it. Nobody is perfect.

He has a good game a few times each season,--that is what shivers me timbers.  (See what I did there?  Bucs?  Pirates?)

No charge.

Panthers are coming into this one really pissed off.

Panthers played a Super Bowl team last week and should have beat them.

Buc's played a 4-12 team last week and were barely competitive.

This one is a blowout for sure.
