defense gave us plenty of chances to win this game and Cam could not do it his arm is fuged and he too scared to run now face it man Cam is damage goods at this point.

Naw. They played like poo too. You're looking at this like the Winston is a respectable quarterback, and not one of the biggest turnover machines in NFL history. If this defense plays an even somewhat legitimate quarterback it's going to give up 30+ easily. A quarterback like Brees is going for 40+.

IMHO - Luke, Burns, Jansen, Palardy, and CMC are the only players on this team worth keeping. Given the fact that this is going to be a long rebuild, not sure it's worth keeping anyone - and that makes me incredibly sad.

That's trade bait you mean. Keeping Burns is obvious, probably even Luke, but anyone else should be available to trade. Getting a quarterback is nearly impossible in this league.

Should have at least brought in a veteran QB to back up Cam after last season's collapse.  At this point the team has no one with any meaningful game experience to turn to.

I think they actually believe they did that... with Kyle Allen.

Newton was really really inconsistent tonight. He certainly made some fantastic plays, but he also made some that were just terrible.

And the offensive line? Barf!

I know I defended him last week, but this game was completely out of the usual for him. Balls were constantly behind the receivers, he missed wide open throws, he delivered balls late, he was almost intercepted thee different times. I know the protection was awful, but even when he had time he was downright awful. I am not sure how much longer you stick with him if he continues performances like these, he let the defense down, he had single high coverage 90% of that game.

You know how the actual tv feed had only two cameras for most of the game? Jesus you could tell it was single high coverage all game long. He didn't exploit that at all. I don't know if that's Norv or Cam, or both. But fug dude...I'm so done with this regime.

I posted my same background In another thread.... I am from Charlotte but have lived just north of Miami for almost 15 years... Carolina is my team but.... the bartender (has kamara not  CMC on FF FYI) keeps yelling to put CMC in slot.... people that aren’t Carolina fans don’t have the same faith in our receivers....

Honestly alot of it had to do with a tweaked ankle and the terrible oline play, he is gonna have more bad throws when there is no run game and he throws 51 time. I dont think ive ever seen a panthers qb throw 51 times.

how many qbs could play for this coach and in this offense behind that oline?

you have two dinosaurs coaching the team, a radio host as GM and an owner who is too weak to pull the trigger on firing anybody. it's like an 80 year old driving a ferrari, driving 10 below the limit in the passing lane.

Even  when cam had the chance to make a play he couldn’t

    • I am high, but that’s besides the point! The blue line is not good right now. I’ve said it all year. I don’t think this group meshes well. Slaven has been just OK Niki up and down Miller up and down ghost and Walker have been your most consistent guys. Maybe it comes together more towards the playoffs
    • I was expecting to see more cap room moves by now, which may be to suggest that we are not going to be that aggressive.  I have mixed emotions about that (because I think we have 3 needs on D and 3 needs on O--starters).  If you look to the draft for 3 starters, that is ambitious.  We need 6
    • Yeah we shouldn’t be competing with teams, bidding wise, to sign a WR. There will be one for us and our budget.  I keep saying, how many balls will there be to go around anyway? One thing good I will say for this offense is the ball has been spread around at times. Seems like I remember seeing a large number of guys have caught passes in a game. Or been targeted at least. 3 RBs 4 or 5 WRs 2-3 TEs type of stat lines. 10-11 guys.  Not every week but that happens.    As far as WR in general, we need the smaller agile and quicker component to compliment what is there. After that it should be about depth, having good backups for the starters so we can run things consistently still, if a guy is out for a week or two. That is especially important in game where you have to finish the game with who you made active.
