For those of you who say that Allen didn’t play against Saint’s starters.

That godly genius Sean Payton throwing the game JUST to tank our draft pick, by...playing 95% of his starters for a large chunk of a meaningless game...and...sending 5-6 man blitzes against an UFA rookie QB behind a suspect o-line...and stuff...

Allen was embarrassing their defense so they pulled them to try and save face

at this point in the season, you play the guy who gives you the best chance of winning the game.  Once the draft is over, its largely irrelevant where a player was drafted.

Yeah I don’t trust Ron making that decision. Apparently a one armed one legged Cam Newton is better than both our backups in his mind.

yeah its almost like it wasn't really a serious game and you shouldn't draw any conclusions from it

Yeah, cause that’s the argument you were making lol.

You’ve spent the entire time highlighting all the usual talking points specifically about how the Saints just didn’t care...and even ended with “The game was a glorified preseason game for the Saints”. Now you’re pivoting to a neutral stance?

It’s like you have absolutely zero regard for nuance...it’s a rather mindless, surface-level take. Bottom line: Allen stood tall and poised in the pocket in the face of constant relentless pressure, making smart decisions and delivering dimes to receivers in tight coverage all game. What more can you ask of from a quarterback?? But...GLORIFIED PRESEASON GAME!! I know, I know...

my stance was always neutral. there were some starters for a while, they didn't gameplan for him. I have no idea what you're fuging upset about.

as far as what more could you ask, well, he looked like complete dogshit in the preseason this year.

the cardinals are terrible. if he's going to perform well it'll be against them. but im not delusional about his saints game last year, and im not going to wax poetic about the guy and get butt sad someone disagrees with me. you sound like the social media intern getting minimum wage to write his wiki profile.

You got any self-awareness, dawg? Lol.

So preseason games matter or not? You’re being pretty wishy-washy...you just spent all this time on this thread talking about how the lack of gameplans, the playing of backups, and the lack of meaning in a game can affect performance and therefore we can’t draw any conclusions from it...and then proceed to criticize Kyle Allen for his preseason performance this year lol. Not to mention I have no idea what kind of mental gymnastics you have to employ to dismiss his performance in Week 17 of last season by way of his performance in preseason this year. Cause you know, that’s what I’ve been talking about...his game against the Saints. I ain’t touting him as a future Tom Brady.

But by all means, continue to ask me why I’m so upset while littering your post with expletives and ad hominems lolz.

Please quit these stupid threads trying to prove he played against starters. THEY DIDN'T CARE FOR THE LAST TIME!!!

Your previous comments were that he didn’t play against starters.  Not that they didn’t care.  So when you are proven wrong you change you’re argument.

Brilliant.

WTF cares we know it was a scrimmage game. For y'all to keep making threads about this dude like he is the next great backup to become a starter, it's not happening.
