Trade Deadline

Cpt slay a ho

Recommended Posts

We are at the halfway point.

as It currently stands, dolphins, skins, Broncos, jets, cards, and depending on tonight’s game either the bengals or Steelers will be 0-4 and season all but over.

in your opinion do we stay with the status quo or is there a trade out there you see that would push us into Super Bowl contention ?

Imo our first is untouchable, but some interesting names could be on the market as some of these teams go into rebuild. A few names are von Miller, aj green, Robby Anderson, Leonard Williams, Trent williams ect.

Unless we have an injury, I'm against it.

The only caveat for me would be for an offensive lineman or WR who could handle returns.

We need draft capital for next year, though, badly.

There are a lot of FA's next year, and we're not going to be able to keep everyone, even some we would like.  Will need the draft to replenish

IMO too much of the season is still up in the air. We're trending in the right direction tho. IF they keep winning then it changes things with every passing win.

Leonard Williams is the jets version of Vernon Butler.

I wasn't aware of this until I started digging but the majority of their fan base just want him gone.

Someone got a LG available? That's about the only real pressing need I can think of if Little keeps playing well at LT. Gotta keep hoping that Paradis will play his way back into shape. He just seems really physically weak out there right now.

Yep Paradis has certainly not looked like the upgrade we had hoped for.  That being said, I think he is doing a decent good with the line protections... his issues seem to be that he is not at 100%.

We need him to be better, especially with Allen back there.

And as for LG, yeah it still is an area where an upgrade shouldn't be that hard.  I know they don't want to throw too much at Daley (and he had to come in at RT for a snap with Moton getting his eye poked), but I thought the long-term plan was to have him play with Little at LG.

Van Roten makes some plays, and he is obviously a smart player, but just like Paradis, he seems to get straight-up physically dominated a decent amount of the time.

I think after this week, Williams needs to a be a swing player.  He is definitely not a LT, and I'm not sure with his injuries he is going to be able to play at a starting level again.

Chris Harris Jr is probably available. Last year of his contract and he’s not happy. Might be able to get him for a 4th or 5th. Don’t know that I would do it but he is an elite slot CB and very good on the outside. Could be used like we used to use Captain and have him play outside in base then move him into the slot in nickel.

Would give us the best set of 3 CBs in the NFL

We could trade for Ryan Kalil lol

If the long-term plan is for Daley to play LG it might be time to give him a look there because right now with Little at LT, Van Roten and Paradis are our two worst OL and it's rough having your two worst OL playing side by side. As we saw previously with Williams at LT, it's REALLY rough having your three worst OL playing side by side by side.

Totally agreed. Emmanuel Sanders for a 6th/7th rounder would also be beneficial.

    • I mean as far as his size goes it's all over his tape bouncing up and down on his toes in and around the pocket trying to see the field and defenses know this as well as we do but if folks here want to live in never never land and pretend it's not a thing that's their prerogative. Even our head coach has made it a key focal point to get his footwork under control. But it's still something Bryce is going to be tested on early and often no matter how many keystrokes anyone here commits to the narrative it isn't an issue.
    • It speaks volumes that when asked to define a clear performance threshold the responses instead fixate on Bryce's size. It reinforces what’s been clear for a while now... that for some, it has never been nor will it ever be about production. Any struggles will always be chalked up to his frame, and any strong play will be downplayed or disqualified via highly mobile goalposts.
    • It is hard not to feel hopeless. There is some hope buried behind a hopeless wall but the hopeless wall is thick.  Going off of the last two games I don’t see how we win.  Team looked utterly defeated on Thursday, kinda like the Leafs did when the Panthers tied the series 2-2, and we all know how that ended.  I hope for the best. I will at least turn on the game for a little while.
