It literally happens all the time.  Its literally slated to happen this weekend for another big name player.  And if it doesn't happen this week, it will happen next week.  Which would still be under 3 weeks for Melvin Gordon.

Cam's not a running QB and he's a not a " One Read Guy" like Colin Cowherd likes to say.  Cam is a bigger and more athletic Brett Favre. That's his game to the T.

That said I like Allen's play so far too. Bottom line I want us to win games. It wouldn't be bad thing to have two good QB's if we're lucky.  The team has rallied and Kyle has made some nice plays. I am excited to see how Cam takes this rest period. Maybe there are things he can gain from watching someone else work the offense while he heals.

There's plenty on how much Cam sucks on this board. There's plenty on the good stuff on Allen.

This thread was meant to show the good stuff from Cam that happened and why his return is important, alongside some of the deficiencies in Allen's game we should be wary of and hope he improves on.

Like I already said, Allen's a good QB. He's still got a lot to learn to get on the same level as Cam and hopefully he does so.

The team is in a good rhythm right now. In terms of Cam’s return, you have to make that decision 100% around his health and his health alone. You can’t factor in emotions, you can’t even factor in what the team’s record is. Be 100% sure that medically he’s healed as possible.

Primary purpose of this was to show some of the good things of Cam Newton that aren't talked about. All the negatives from his two weeks of play have been hammered on and on. I was showing light of why it would be a good thing if he does indeed return.

I also showed where Allen needs improvement in to calm some people's unrealistic assumptions on him (i.e. raising him to a higher standard than Cam's play) since his good points have been hammered on.

This thread in it of itself was never meant to be objective but more contrarian to popular opinion around here. Honestly probably the same attempt panthersfilm came in with that twitter thread as well.

Jeez, this team looked like poo the first 2 weeks losing 2 winnable games. You're contradicting your point on Cam, if he's making a handful of great throws then why is he making so many bad reads and throws? Injury? OL? Coaching? Lack of weapons/separation? Defense?  

I'll be at BOA cheering on the guys that show up, I'm sure you'll let us know if someone shits the bed.

His reads aren't bad.

His bad throws come as a result of him being unable to plant his foot properly. Simple as that.

Great find, thanks for this.  There’s a not insignificant number of people who’ve been yearning for the opportunity to replace Cam.  Then there’s a not insignificant number of people who lack the ability to recognize anything beyond the surface information that Cam had a bad and a so-so game, therefore he sucks now.  I think that’s what adds up to equal such a large number of people shitting on Cam these days.  Hope he can get 100% this season so he can prove both groups wrong.

Contrarian voices have value when backed by considered viewpoints and analysis, which is what you appear to be presenting here. Reasonable people can always disagree with one another anyway, but thank you for offering a different take and food for thought.

Right now, evidence suggests Kyle Allen gives us the best chance to win.  And that's really what we should all be asking.  Who gives us the best chance to win.  I'm a Panthers fan.  I want to see my team win, regardless of who is at QB.

 

Nope. Everyone around here is just satisfied with a few reg season wins. poo they may even go 11-5 with Allen. But nothing makes me think this team will win the SB as of right now. This team is only winning a SB if Cam returns to MVP form and the defense becomes even better.(specifically points aloud, turnovers and scoring defense)

When im the thinking about best option, im thinking from a point of SB win. Nothing I HATE MORE than going to the playoff and losing in the first rd or losing in the SB. A COMPLETE waist of time and FAILURE.

Like Cam said a few years ago some player were just happy to be in playoffs(vs saints). It's probably true cause some fans around here are the same.

It's SB or BUST for every team every year. Only 1 king.

Are you sure?  Because if your trotting out onto the field to play, then you good enough to play.  Every game quarterbacks are throwing in every which way due to pressures and scrambling, some do good at it others not so much.

The post was your pitiful attempt to stick.up for your player and present a very biased view of what is going on selectively picking what furthers your agenda.  The problem is that you had to pick.rhe worst of a backup QB with 3 games experience versus what few plays you could find where Cam actually played decently this year to make a very weak case that Cam is a foot injury away from being 100%. 

And now you are backpedalling after being called out on your decided biased take. The secret to a post is pointing out both sides of an argument while giving more credence to your particular point of view. But  posts which are grossly biased  masquarading as clear evidence gets summarily  dismissed if it doesn't hold up to even a casual eye test.  And as much as you try to keep spinning it, it was a  transparent attempt to criticize Allen and boost Cam which at this point is really unnecessary. Cam will play again when he is 100% which from my viewpoint doesn't appear to be anytime soon. If he isn't at  the game in Sunday you have to wonder what is going on.
