Not to be that guy, but when he came in the Jags defense was sucking more wind than a Hoover vacuum.

Doesn't belittle what he did, but keep it in perspective.

Fair enough, but in that case, what was CAPs excuse all these years?

Reggie came in and produced, that’s all we can ask.

I am and have been heavily in favor of an 80/20 snap split for CMC/Backup and I hope the coaches now see that they can do that without ruining the offense. It did look like they had a plan to spell CMC before the cramps popped up because Reggie was in for a few plays at the beginning of the game.

You are definitely being that guy today. Winning and a little positively must be making you squirm. Been doing everything you can to spin things.

Nah, but I can see how somebody might see it that way... if they're not very bright.

Doesn’t take a genius to realize that more often than not you enjoy playing the role of contrarian around here. Just one opinion...

Mr. Scot, the king of “Well let’s not go and fit him for his gold jacket just yet...” anytime anyone says anything remotely positive or encouraging about a young player.

...unless he wants to criticize the coaching staff for not playing Taylor Moton at LT because of one career game there...cause he’s for sure a future HOFer.

Poorly informed opinion.

I'm not a contrarian. I suppose you could call me a skeptic. Contrarians just want to argue. That's not me at all.

Sports fans love to make snap judgments based on a small amount of information. I prefer to take my time and look at the big picture

Take Jamal Robertson for example. Back in the 2005 season, a couple of good pre-season games had people ready to believe he was something that it turned out he wasn't. That's the kind of mistake I prefer to avoid.

I get that everybody these days wants to know everything there is to know right now without waiting, but that's not me. I prefer to be patient.

This is a thread to congratulate the guy for his play yesterday and say it would be nice to see more of him as a backup.  He did exactly what hes supposed to do as a backup. Downplaying his production doesnt jive with your alleged wait and see angle.

Speaking of contrarians with nothing of value to say...

Not downplaying it. Just putting it in perspective.

As mentioned, some people are smart enough to know the difference.

Others, not so much.

I see your point and agree with where you are coming from. Did he do enough to prove he can be a every down back like cMC? Na.

But send him in when the starters are all wore out and rip off a few good ones to ice the game? I love it.

Pretty much.

Heck, I'm all for seeing him get more carries in general, especially if it means we lighten the workload on McCaffrey.
