Defense is shocking, game management has been iffy, and Matt Ryan has been good-not-great (had already thrown for the 7 picks he threw in '16 and '18, by week 5) on the whole, though certainly not today. Couple meaningful injuries as well

Can't get the penalties under control either. Barring a huge turnaround, he's gone after the season, given the D's woeful showings and the teams oft-acknowledged general talent level (when fully healthy at least).

There was speculation he might be fired as soon as this week.

I'll freely admit I don't know if Blank has ever fired someone midseason.
