Could we have as many losses as the saints going into next week?

After this weekend the Saints will have played the hardest part of their schedule, by far. A loss @ Chicago doesnt really change anything in the NFCS division race. They have 3 trash teams coming up with Brees back for the latter two -- vs. AZ, vs. ATL, @TB. Realistically @CAR, vs. SF, vs. IND are the only other possible Ls i see on the schedule and that's far from a given.

You mean the invincible Patriots defense that has played these formidable offenses so far this year?

  • Steelers - 29th (points), 20th (yards)
  • Dolphins - 32nd (points), 31st (yards)
  • Jets - 31st (points), 32nd (yards)
  • Bills - 25th (points), 10th (yards)
  • Redskins - 30th (points), 28th (yards)
  • Giants - 24th (points), 24th (yards)

They have literally played the 4 worst scoring offenses in the league and 2 other scoring offenses that are right at the bottom quarter of the league.

Oh, and they get to play the Jets again this week along with 2 more matchups with the Bills and Dolphins in Weeks 16 and 17.

You only can play the games given. They still can wipe the floor with the Saints though.

I understand that, however the only team they’ve played that has a defense remotely close to ours is the Bills, which they barely beat, 16-10. That’s also not mentioning we have an offense that is at least on par with the Bills with Bridgewater and far better with Brees.

The rest of those teams are pure trash from the top on down. So to say they’d wipe the floor with us (or me say they’d wipe the floor with y’all) would just be a stretch at best.

Saints may make it to SB but it will be an embarrassing loss on their part because the Patriots will literally stomp them into dust and the Patriots run D will stuff the Saints running game no matter what they do. Patriots will just send the Saints home empty handed anyway. The Saints are no match for the Patriots either.

The Saints offense is ok without Brees but that's with Alvin Kamara playing, who is 6th in the NFL (and 1st on the Saints ahead of Michael Thomas) in yards from scrimmage per game. I have to think the Bears defense can scheme to contain Michael Thomas and see if Bridgewater slinging passes to Ted Ginn and their back-up tight end is going to lead to points. Don't get me wrong; the Bears are hardly heavy favorites just cause Kamara is out. But his absence should be a huge deal and should make this way more competitive than it looked a week ago before the injury report. My money is on Chicago at home.

I really wish you had been right.  But when a team is a good team, it is rarely because of 1 or 2 players.  Kamara is very good but the Saints oline and scheme is one of the reasons Kamara looks as good as he does.

The Patriots are seriously good. I hate them but they are always really good and there defense regardless of teams played is probably the best in the league. Panthers and the Saints are such the same team. Both are good but both would struggle with the Pats at this point. Especially if you factor in us having a harder schedule and beating each other up. It's a long season though and any given Sunday.
