Irvin says 9ers are “ok”... not world beaters

They sure as hell beat our world.

I think it's dumb when guys act like not acknowledging how badly we just got beat somehow makes it less of a thing.

See it in the fight game all the time. A guy will get his ass kicked and then act as if the guy that just beat the brakes off of him isn't that good. I mean, you're basically just talking poo about yourself when you act like the guy or team that just made you look like an amateur isn't all that good. Like what does that say about you then?

He’s right...if they were playing a team with a coach that had a clue how to stop them.

Honestly there are only two teams that have a legitimate shot at beating them.  #1 is the Patriots, because well, Brady/Belichik.  #2 is New Orleans because Payton/Brees.  Payton may be a pill snorting degenerate but he knows offense.

I mean, it’s not something he should say publicly but I get where he’s coming from. They’re not a more skilled team than we are. The difference is coaching.

I don't know man, they looked more skilled to me. The coaching was trash, but Norv Turner wasn't out there whiffing blocks and Ron Rivera wasn't out there completely botching run fits. The players deserve plenty of blame too. All-around team loss.

We got our asses kicked. Accept it and move on.

No I respect the willful ignorance. Shows fire

    • Sellers is absolutely one to keep an eye on. Could be the next Cam or could be the next Anthony Richardson. Curious to see how he has progressed come this fall.
    • I think Texas could go 0-12 and he would still go #1 based on his name and traits like you say.  But nusselman and sellers may be actually better qbs.    Man if bryce stinks it up this season its looking like a damn good year to swap out qbs.  Sellers highlights are just fuging jaw dropping
    • I mean, the kid comes from a wealthy family. It's not like he needs the money. He has a ton of potential now we get to see what he can do as a starter. Everyone penciling him in as the #1 overall pick is putting the cart way before the horse. It's 5% because of his talent and what he's showing on the field and 95% because his last name is Manning. And if he is what he's hyped to be the Texas coaching staff needs to be answering some tough questions about why the kid wasn't on the field sooner. Ewers was a good college QB but he's definitely not a "keep a future #1 overall pick waiting" type of college QB. Only getting one season out of a top NFL talent because you chose to keep him buried behind a borderline NFL talent is just coaching negligence. Not starting him as a true freshman? Yeah, I get that. But on year two if the kids is what he's hyped to be you gotta wish Ewers well elsewhere and turn the page.
