Not panicking yet.  Rapaport, Schefter, etc arent always 100% on their sources.  They Do hit some but also miss plenty.

Lets wait until we find a little more info before we panic.

Rodrigue's report pretty much confirms everything they were saying.

This whole thing isn't making any sense to me.  So someone leaked that Cam was good and ready to play.  He's been on the sidelines, working out, traveling with the team...Then Marty has a "long talk" with him so he is going to go see a specialist now?  What happened?

Get well soon young man!

I think it's pretty well established now that the story about him being ready to go was bullsh-t.

@Sean Payton's Vicodin was right; Cam is shot and most likely never plays again; at least here.  I agreed initially but was talked down from it, but he was right.

People here are seriously delusional and think that Cam is bathing himself in Yggdrasil's magical mending waters or some dumb poo. Fact is is that he's taken hundreds of hits from world class human wrecking balls. You don't come back from that once things start going downhill health wise. We have seen the last of Cam but people here will deny it even if the man says it himself.

Kyle Allen probably isn't the future but we aren't gonna suck enough to get a good QB prospect next year so eh.

There’s a huge rush to be the first with information on Twitter. I would honestly hate to be one of those insiders. It seems like a miserable existence. Yes, I know they’re rich. Still, seems like a horrible job. If you’re 41 seconds behind the next guy with breaking news, you are trash. Once in a while, I think the thirst to be first leads to bad reporting.

Why are people blaming Rivera and the staff for this?

Cam straight-up admitted in his YouTube video that he had lied to the team about the extent of the foot injury so he could keep playing. If the team x-rays him, it comes back negative, and Cam says he's good to go....how the hell are they supposed to know his foot is still a problem? This would be very tough for the Panthers medical staff to see coming, much less Ron freaking Rivera.

I don't blame Cam for lying about it because I'm sure it's not the first time he's lied about his injuries so he could keep playing. It's just an unfortunate situation all around. I love blaming people to make people angry on here, you know that, but even *I* am having a hard time figuring out why someone on the Panthers should be blamed for this.

you fool, a competitive professional football player saying "i'm good, i can play" isn't lying in the ethical sense you're clearly trying to push in your trash bag post and nor does it excuse a professional coaching staff for not managing a competitive player when this is what competitive players do. stop posting pleeeeeeease

    • That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools.
    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
