The London Chargers?

The Chargers have been mentioned as a possibility to relocate to the UK.

IF the NFL moves the Chargers, there would have to be a fairly massive realignment. They couldn't leave the Chargers in the AFC West - they would have to move to either the NFC East or AFC East. I could certainly see reasoning for bumping Miami and moving the Chargers to the AFC East. But then, what to do with Miami? The dominoes would continue to fall.

It *could* be possible that they move Miami to one of the south divisions, which could mean either Houston or New Orleans would then move to the AFC West to take the Chargers place.

Outside of realignment, it's going to be quite the burden on teams west of the Mississippi to fit the Chargers into their away schedule. As much as there has been a disadvantage for teams traveling east, this would certain compound that issue.

Seriously here, how much effort did the league put into moving the Chargers to Los Angeles?

There was a whole monster fight over that move that our old owner was a big part of. And that was what, just two or three years ago.

Now they're talking about moving the whole damn team to London?

Somebody really needs to get their head out of their ass.

It's all about the money. Goodell represents the owners who want to open a new market and this is their way to do it. As long as you ask yourself, how will this make the NFL more money, then you can figure out what their next moves are going to be. They are a pretty simple, petty lot, for the most part.

As much as I hate the idea, make no mistake London will have a team in the next couple of years.  NFL is all about $ and they clearly want to expand the brand overseas.  It wouldn't surprise me if they added two new expansion teams and put one in London and the other in Canada.

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
