Talking Packers - What do you know?

Unfortunately for the Panthers they're getting the Packers at just about the worst possible time. Coming off a blowout loss and only the second of their season. In GB, frigid temps, extra motivated, we could be walking into a buzzsaw. Safe to say this coaching staff better have the guys prepared with an adequate gameplan. If we see any of that lackadaisical bullshit from a few weeks ago when we traveled to the west coast this one will be over before it even starts.

Not enthused about the cold weather. I think that plays into their hands and adds an even more distinct home field advantage. I am definitely worried about ball security with some of our guys that have issues with turnovers. IMO, that could be the key to this game, that turnover battle.

Rodgers is a game changer at quarterback, one of the absolute best playing right now. Their receivers, outside of DAdams, are really young and not well known, but they've made plays for them. It seems like a different guy each week, but Rodgers will give them opportunities. Hoping for a win, but this is going to be a tough test.

Boger is reffing. That right there should tell you it will be a long day.

After that Lions game, the Packers don't worry me at all. They looked average in that game, and would have lost if Detroit hadn't continually tripped on their own dicks and been referee'd into oblivion on that last drive.

I know this will not be as easy as most think.  This is a must win game if they hope to sniff the playoffs.  Taking an L here pretty much ends the playoff dreams.

Is there anyone actually thinking this is going to be an easy game for us?  The Packers are 7-2 and we're playing in Lambeau.  Aaron Rogers is still their QB.  Nothing about this game says easy win to me.

That home field advantage will be a real thing this weekend. This team is not ready for the slightest bit of cool weather.

I just hope Tepper is breathing down Rivera’s neck about this being the featured game of the week and will not stand for being embarrassed twice in three weeks.

Other than that I don’t have much hope.

How do you know that the team is not ready to play in cold weather?  Its not like its going to be 10 degrees or something.  High is 33 on Sunday.  Cold?  Yes.  Cold enough to make us play badly?  Hardly.

    • Blowout incoming and the wheels fall off. Parsons will have multiple sacks, prob a FF. Media immediately starts saying the Bryce era is over
    • It's worth noting that we started playing something that looked like football after going down 17-0 against the Dolphins.  Up to that point we had rushed the ball 3 times and Bryce had two turnovers.   Then we ran it 5 straight times with Rico and he started cracking off some big gains and led to our first touchdown.  Another 37 yards of rushing later, Bryce goes 1 yard complete, incomplete, incomplete to get that field goal before halftime.  Then we committed big time to the run in the second half and played some really nice complimentary football.  The Panthers had stumbled on a formula, and it started with Rico being crazy productive.  Something they only learned because Chubba was injured and Bryce started that game so poorly they were forced to lean on Rico. Fast foward to Dallas, they essentially lean into the same game plan against the Cowboys and I think everyone was surprised by how quickly it started to look complimentary.  In my opinion the productive offense really helped the defense as well.  We played quite solid against a top offense. Finally we make our way to the Jets and Bills, Chubba's return.  You can't say the low scoring affair and return to ineffective football against the Jets was all on Chubba, they were indeed a better defense and so was Buffalo.  But the production difference between the two backs in both games was both visually and statistically obvious.  The bigger picture is the offense took a major step back as well.  They are other moving parts and it's isn't all one thing, BY9>Dalton by a decent margin at this point.   But yeah, Rico's vision and athleticism is just better than Chubba and it jumps at you.
