OT Williams should never see the field

One key word there.  Remember, the NFL stands for "Not-for-long"  What a player did a few years ago doesn't mean poo right now.  Right now, he doesn't even need to be on the 53 man roster.

It’s pretty sad when opposing players are saying this kind of poo about a guy who your coaching staff believed was a starter at a key position.  On the other hand, maybe this guy should look at some of the defensive performances his team has put up this season before he runs his mouth.

Still, subbing in Williams for no apparent reason right before that play makes zero effing sense.  Who rotates OTs regularly?  I knew when they said Littke was back healthy that they'd find a way to mess it up, and they did.  Moton was a top rated tackle last year...  The coaching staff still does some of the dumbest things I've ever seen in my 25+ years of playing and watching football.

That being said, McKinley is a head case and classless, but he's right.

Remember when earlier this season everyone was talking about our great OL depth and how our "problem" was not being able to start them all? Some people were even wanting to trade Moton since our depth was so amazing.

LOLOLOLOL!!!

I, for one, was NOT in that crowd.  The OL was my biggest concern outside of safety,

Whatever shittalking gets heaped on us is deserved.  A 2-7 team came into our stadium and just mercilessly beat our asses today.

For you youngins who weren't around for it, what you saw today is what John Fox's Panthers looked like probably half the time after about 2005 or so.  With the obvious exception of 2008.

    • The defense is 28 out of 32 in salary cap allocation for 2025. We have a ton of resources tied up in the offense including the highest paid OL in the league multiple 1st round WR's and multiple recent draft picks across the offense at TE and RB and we have two 1000 yard backs. Bryce and company couldn't get past Tyler Shough and his crew in 2 games. That's all there is to it. You can spin it and put the entire onus on the defense to your heart's desire it doesn't change the fact that this is an OFFENSIVE team now. If you want to argue that we should revert back to a defensive identity as we have been in the past which has brought us success then I will agree with you on that. But as it stands the onus is on the offense because that is where we have invested through the nose. Dave Canales and Bryce Young need to do a hell of a lot better than they have against the rebuilding Saints who without us should only have 2 wins this season.
    • Bryce is not trending up. He is the same QB he has always been. Bottom of the league in most categories.  If Canales thinks he can build a contender with Bryce then he is a bigger idiot then I thought.  Offense next year will have the same issues and be just as inconsistent as it was this year.  We have seen Bryce’a ceiling and it is 175 yards a game and that is not a QB you keep around as your starter. That is barely a backup.
    • Looks like Darnold should have had at least 3 picks. That'll get ugly in the playoffs eventually. Can't deny his physical talent though. You either have that or you don't. Mike Macdonald is a legit coach.
